Phil Mushnick pointed out yesterday that our beloved NY Mets do not have a single Saturday afternoon 1:00 game on the home schedule, and since Sunday games are fair game for ESPN to flex to 8:00 , those slated to start at 1:00 aren't too safe for the defending national league champs. I can't wait for Soccer and the UFC to pass baseball and football in popularity... Maybe then my favorite teams will be back to playing day games. Boston College basketball just finished their ACC regular season without a victory..... Add that to their Football team also going winless in conference play and you have something that hasn't happened since TCU in ....get this.....1954. .....and Rutgers ? One win in big ten football and 1 win in conference basketball.......2 once proud Academic & Athletic schools that sold their souls for TV $$$.....hell, they could go winless with good citizens... Near the back entrance of the Vista hotel and a stairway to the street level that nobody used.....there was a memorial for the victims of the 1993 bombing that occurred 23 years ago today.....it always bothered me that this was hidden from the tourists.... I tried to periodically pass the memorial and say a quick prayer. I always knew there would be a second attack... Although I thought it would be another truck bomb...I never imagined or feared it would be the horrific attack that it was....... But it once again proves that hiding and denying history doesn't work...... The 7 attackers were moslems, their friends would be back to finish the job in less than 10 years....president Clinton at the time urged Americans not to overeact.

Nothing that even compares to the nerve that the Donald has struck with his supporters...... And it's naive to think this chord only exists on the Republican side of things...... I have to think if the DONALD was running as a Democrat he would be enjoying the same success......
