Those of course were the words of Commodore Dewey ( who would later have the honor of having the bar Dewey's flatiron named after him)....Dewey was talking to Capt Gridley onboard the USS Olympia at the battle of Manila Bay....but I'm working on a theory today that suggests those are also the words of special prosecutor Robert Mueller to President Trump.....you see Bob Mueller was appointed to this position in May2017....or as we say in Brooklyn...11 fuckin months ago....to look into reports of collusion between the Trump Campaign and the big bad Russians during the election.....a big fat zero in that department....so it obviously evolved into a witchhunt .... looking under rocks and in closets everywhere and anywhere to find SOMETHING on Trump.....manafort, Flynn etc etc....go after them and maybe they will spill the beans.....and nothin.....so now with enough egg on his face to whip up a dozen ommelettes.... Mueller is trying to provoke Trump by raiding his lawyers office and turning the investigation into a Stormy Daniels movie.... Mueller, I think; would love to have Trump fire him in a rage.....it would be bad for Trump....it would turn Mueller into a superhero of the left and most importantly, it would spare him the embarrassment of having to wrap up the investigation and admit that he has NOTHIN....... just a theory, but worthy of consideration.

President Trump's misguided rants against Amazon have cost me thousands in unrealized gains.... I could dissect and beat back all of his silly statements one by one , but in an effort to save time I'll stick to one issue.....the Prez , and many talking heads accuse Amazon as being the downfall for brick and mortar stores and mom and pop shops.....false.... greedy landlords and overzealous development are the problem.... how many strip malls and banks do we really need ?? It's excessive rent hikes Everytime a business shows a profit that is really killing the bricks and mortar.....let's use a Bar as an example.....you can't buy beer or social interaction on Amazon ( yet)...but how many highly successful bars close every year because they can't keep up with the rent... ( See Langans in midtown for a close to home example )....bars, small stores and retailers are forced to jack up prices and eventually go out of business....rent protection and restrained development are the answer...not tearing down one of the greatest American success stories.

Gilmour)......... everyone is up in arms over school shootings....all the teachers unions are also furious about the President's suggestion to arm teachers.( Nobody wants to see a 70 year old Mrs Witherow packing a Glock as our security detail) , but I have a suggestion......PHYS ED.....the jackalope gym teacher....every school has one...why ? Eliminate gym..... give the kids back gym time and allow them to use that period how they see fit ... unsupervised.....shoot hoops, take a walk, take a nap, whatever........and the gym teachers ? Offer them firearm training and reclassify them as onsite security....they maintain their teacher benefits, they can teach health classes or supervise study hall, but they carry weapons and engage shooters..... only shooters....they don't become cops and glorified security guards breaking up cafeteria fights.....if they don't want to do it, then they have to transition back to the classroom and become qualified to teach another subject..... nobody is forced to become the secret security....but I tend to think a lot of young, healthy gym teachers will accept their new role.....if not, we have lots of returning military already trained to handle weapons that would love the benefits, pensions and summer vacations that comes with being a teacher.....and seriously, should we really being paying someone to teach teenagers how to play dodge ball ?

He met Bob in high school and they remained friends for life, he was credited with introducing the Dead to Timothy Leary... although Jerry and the Boys were clearly from the Ken Kesey school of hallucinogenics....he ran a cattle ranch in Wyoming, was a pioneer of the internet, he attended Harvard University and was A Fellow there, he had a cat named BUCK that he swore was a bodhisatva ...and became an internet celebrity....he co-wrote some of the Deads greatest songs, including The Music Never stopped, Cassidy, Estimated Prophet, and I need a Miracle........and although I never met him , I feel as though I did......in the early 90's Donnie Hoff installed a shit load of phone lines for Mr Barlow's office in the Village for his internet endeavors and chatted him up about some photos in the office of Weir, Garcia and Company.... Barlow was so appreciative of the work Donn did that he gave him tickets to see the Dead at MSG and put our names on the Backstage B list for that show and each spring at the Garden until Jerry passed.....we had seats at center ice, 2 rows off the floor and access to a private lounge under the arena..... pretty cool.....I sure hope he is resting in peace......Ah, Mother American Night, here comes the light...... Howling at the blood on the moon "...... well it's true, the faster we go, the rounder we get and strange strange occurrences in the desert...... sweater nite is taking on a different feel as we sail into the uncharted Waters of number 20....as most of you know, we were approached by the friends of MoMo ( Maureen Nolan) and asked to share the evening portion of PC'S with a benefit for Maureen as she battles cancer.... and of course we were eager to oblige..... so the tentative timeline has USA v Russia at 6:00 a.m. location to be determined....the Blueshirts dropping the puck at 2:00....a hot buffet served approx 3:30......Mac & Mike (aka Richie Havens)open the festival at 5:00.....the benefit kicks off at 6:00....a second set of music and raffles followed by a second round of the buffet..... somewhere in there I begin speaking Mandarin with a touch of swaheely, hopefully my disguise will keep the knife weilding ninjas away from my thumb..... we have geusts coming in from far and wide.... I'm cautiously optimistic that we ring up one for the ages...a night to remember... celebrating 2 decades of dominance in the 209..... this one will really be different, I'd be lying if I didn't admit to waking up with cold sweats from time to time....let's hope everything goes well... in case you missed it.....a U.S. Veterans group applied to take out a full page ad in this years super bowl program....the ad displayed an honor guard with fill colors and a simple caption......#Pleasestand.....at the bottom of the ad was a request for donations to veterans support groups......the nfl said NO FUCKING WAY and rejected the ad...their reason ?? they did not want the super bowl program to become a platform for political statements......I swear to God that was their official response.......so in case you keeping score at home.....the Miscreant, Slobs and Thugs that play in this league can use the National Anthem and a national tv audience as their platform to disrespect this country and our Police Forces' , but a Group of Veterans cannot take out an AD in a program asking/urging the fans in attendance to do what their fucking parents should have already taught them.....STAND for the ANTHEM.....as the ratings continue to dive off a cliff, you really don't have to look too far to find a reason....#boycottthenfl
