saw a blip on the news that the vaccine mandate has an exception for religious reasons.....i'm curious as to which religions they are talking about ? did religions that were founded before vaccines existed have provisions or rules in their bylaws that forbid their members from receiving something that didn't exist ?

are these religions against modern medicine in general ? if so, do these people have to buy health insurance like obama care or are they exempt from that as well ? do these religions pick and chose which  medical treatments go against their foundation ?  i'm not mocking ....i'm genuinely curious.....as far as i am concerned you can worship and believe whatever you want .....you can even worship a cow if you like, and let millions of people starve to death while the Bovine Majesty avoids the grille.

BUT.....and this is interesting.....the talking head on ch 5 ( the lovely Bianca Peters) pointed out that POLITICAL beliefs were NOT grounds for an exemption ? just think about that for a moment ? in this country in the year 2021, Political Beliefs are the most divisive issue we face.......Political Beliefs are twice as strong as religious beliefs......Political beliefs are breaking apart families and ending friendships.....not religion..........i personally am in favor of vaccines for anyone and everyone that wants a vaccine......i detest mandates....they go against everything this country has fought for.....the politicians are using vaccine mandates to punish and separate the opposing party or anyone with a differing opinion.........i ask anyone who supports mandates.....what would you do if in 5 years the ruling party decides that population growth is the number 1 issues for global warming....and that if we do not curb over population we can not survive as a planet....and so a new vaccine has been created to render half the worlds male population impotent.......and since the white male has historically been the "Bad" guy .....all white males over the age of 21 must be vaccinated to prevent them from procreating .....it's a global crisis....it is what it is .....refuse the vaccine ? you can not work, eat or live in this country anymore....you will be extradited to a remote island.......sounds ridiculous ? could never happen ?  the people would never stand for it..... there would be a revolution ..........there are some that feel it's happening already....what if you learned in 5 or 6 years that the covid vaccine rendered portions of the recipients impotent......how shocked would you be ?

Saturday actually.....what a beautiful sun drenched day that was..ice cold beeeer rested in the cooler....pork chops sizzled on the grill.....mans best friend snoozing in the grass.......and i am happy to report that 8 of the top 25 teams in the nation were in action at High Noon.......including a classic old school rivalry revisited....Oklahoma-Nebraska......and the 3:00 window brought us Aalabama-Florida ......Clemson and ND also had matinees......is there hope for the day drinker ?  let's keep our fingers crossed.....

change of topic......no proof, just an observation..... i didn't watch too much sports over the weekend, but when i saw highlights i saw a lot of FDNY hats on coaches around the ncaa, nfl, mlb........i did not see many/any NYPD hats.......maybe just coincidence.......but if not....could it be that these coaches were afraid to offend their players by wearing POLICE hats ?  i hope i am wrong....and i hope both the police and fire were equally supported on the 20th anniversary....but it did not appear that way to me....

lastly a lot has been made about women soccer players being paid less than the men.

whats never mentioned is that both teams are union and both groups agreed to collective bargain agreements that were best suited for them at the time......for example, the women choose guaranteed money no matter how far they advanced in tournaments....the men chose a merit based system that paid higher amounts if they were successful but it was not guaranteed.....the women also chose perks like pregnancy leave, family leave, pay for players in the professional leagues that did not qualify for the national team and apparently contributions to their 401k's.......the men do not have these perks in their contracts..........now that the US soccer federation has agreed to give the same contract to both men and women, we can expect to see rapinoe and the other thespians get another parade down the canyon of zeroes........or will they find something else to cry bloody murder about ?

i try to avoid hypocrisy, so lets jump in a call out my Naval Academy football team , they gladly took a check from cbs to move the traditional October game against Air Force to 9/11 this year......as if seeing two service academies play football is going to somehow bring joy and relief on 9/11 ....in the aftermath of afghanistan and the helicopter crash in San Diego last week , perhaps the Naval Academy should be focused on other things and treat football as a diversion from the mission....and not the mission itself.

not quite as bad but still ridiculous was the decision to "award" the annual Army-Navy game to the Meadowlands to coincide with the 20th anniversary of 9/11 ( that is seriously how the press release was worded) , the game of course is played in December , but oh yeah, never forget and all that jazz.

The FDNY and NYPD moved their annual hockey game which used to be played on a Sunday in February or March ( usually after a Rangers-Isles game or as a sunday matinee) to Thursday Night September 9th ...courtesy of ESPN........i wonder how many times they will roll clips of the planes hitting the WTC ? wonder if fan duel has an under/over.

MLB network is trotting out a replay of the Mets-Braves game in 2001, thr first game to be played in NYC after the attacks and they are now referring to that instant classic as "The Game for America" ...spoiler alert, Sam Champions boyfriend hits a HR to win the game.

and the NFL ? ?  one can only imagine, but we will have to wait and see how the felons and miscreants that represent professional football show their honor and sacrifice to the nation.

( kind of like giving putin a blueprint on what to hack)  why is the POTUS saying that everyday we remain in the country the likelihood of an attack from al queda and isis increases ? what have we become ? i am moving from angry to embarrassed at warp speed.......to watch these empty suit losers stand in front of the camera and say that they are doing everything they can to get Americans out of Kabul is mind numbing.......like setting fire to a house and then patting yourself on the back for being the first one to call 911 .

I had the Honor and privilege  to visit Gettysburg PA this week........i walked Evergreen cemetery at Dawn , the spot where Lincoln gave his address just 4 months after the battle.....there is something in the air , besides the multitude of restless spirits......i toured the vast battlefield and listened to the courageous stories from both sides...the bravery.....the willingness to lay down ones life for a perceived greater good......to know that you will be killed but continue to fight on, to hold on, with a glimmer of hope for the man behind you .......moving....inspirational........and i felt an emptiness and sorrow to think about how far my country has fallen .

but for me the most frightening comments were the ones below......everyone forgets a word sometimes....a lot of people stutter or pause when they lose their train of thought....but this is beyond all that. when told most veterans wished we could have left with dignity, he replied with this jumble salad where he gets his own sons branch of service and location of deployment wrong and basically says NOTHING

But look no further than Japan and Germany....our two greatest world war enemies.....and how 75 plus years later we still maintain bases and troops on our enemies soil to ensure they don't ever even think about fighting us again....and then add up how many times since the end of WWII we had to fight the Germans and the Japs ........count how many casualties our troops have suffered at the hands of Japanes or German insurgents ?  add South Korea to the mix....and ask yourself what would have become of that Nation at the hands of Kim Jong Ill and his family if the United States went home to hide....

first and of utmost concern is why this creep is allowed to tell the State when his last day as Gov will be .....what's he doing with these last 2 weeks ...besides hiding, destroying or tampering with evidence....and why are the demonrats allowing him to do so....obviously to protect the "party" first and foremost....but that's not my question..........my question regarding the Nursing home scandal, is why did he send those infected patients "BACK" to the nursing homes ? there had to be an underlying motive.

i refuse to believe he is truly sadistic and wanted to kill as many old people as possible., but if someone wants to convince me , i will listen.

no....i suspect there was something else at play.....i have no proof, only suspicion...but keep in mind that at the height of this scandal there was a President Election upcoming....and the Democrats were trying to stop the TRUMP TRAIN at any expense....we already know that they felt the only way Trump could lose was if the economy crashed, hence the shutdown.....so is it possible that cuomo and his henchman made a decision NOT to utilize the USNS Comfort Ship that the President had sent to NY to help with overcrowded hospitals and Covid patients, because they did not want the President to get credit for helping , and secondly because they thought if the death toll was rising that Trump would get some of the blame ?

sadly, the fact that this douchebag was allowed two weeks to cover his tracks, we will probably never get the evidence to prove anything....also the NYS assembly has dropped impeachment proceedings, so cuomo gets to keep his 50K a year pension ...AND....he can even run for office again.....in a filthy disgusting, heartless, soulless state like NY , would you be surprised if he ran again in 15 months....AND WON ?

i would like to see one reporter ask disgraced governor cuomo how he would feel if a 63 year old man, perhaps one also cursed with the italian heritage problem of being touchy feely....if that man were to ask one of cuomo's daughters questions about their sex life and whether they would ever become romantically involved with an older man ?

i would like to see one reporter ask alzheimer joe biden if it's fair to say that Hitler did a helluva job except for that jew thing ? or if it's ok to praise mussolini for getting the trains to run on time ? ( i wonder if mussolini has any grand kids, the MTA has openings at the top) as biden did when asked about cuomo......." the sad thing about his resignation is that he was doing a helluva job".......NO Joe....the sad thing is that he harassed and groped at least 11 women.....probably dozens more that are too embarrassed to come forward.

i would like to see one school curriculum or one proponent of Critical Race theory , examine the possibility that White Privilige is the result of supportive parents and the stable family environment. How many white parents stayed together in troubled marriages until the kids were grown and out of school ?  and when they inevitably separated, both parents still stayed involved in the kids lives. the biggest obstacle for black kids growing up in urban environments is the lack of a stable family life and/or an authoritative male voice, model and presence.......and now you want to take police out of these neighborhoods ....and there is literally nobody to fear, nobody to tell them NO, nobody to encourage them to go a different path.

i have talked about this a million times, but lets rehash.....America is still the land of opportunity, with hundreds of paths to success for everyone......sports, music, theatre for those who do not embrace the classroom, and literally any profession for those willing to take advantage of education opportunities. the never ending line of legal immigration should he held up as a blueprint for success....but you have to want it......other races, religions and political backgrounds have come to America.....they get jobs, sometimes 2 or 3 ....and they scrape their way up the ladder.....some never learn to speak english....but their children do......and these immigrants ensure that their next generation will be at least one step higher on the ladder,,,,,and it works........Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Polish, Irish and italian....you name it, they did it.......and the one exception for the most part is the eternal victim, the one doomed to live generation to generation on government subsidies, and around and around we go.

surprisingly over the past 16 months i have not had much to say about the China Flu.....but as i watched the lovely Bianca Peters on Fox 5 deliver the news i had theurge to holler ( but the joint was too small...and my dog was sleeping). here are some bullets from the periphery of the insane.

The Billion dollar industry that is the NFL has decided to punish players that refuse to get the vaccine...and they are hell bent on using $$ and peer pressure to force its members to do something against their will ( we should have a huge protest for human rights any day now). If a team has to forfeit a game because unvaccinated players have the Wuhan Flu....neither team gets paid.....forcing some players who do not want the vaccine ( Deandre Hopkins & others) to consider retiring or sitting out the season....or face the wrath from teammates and opponents

Left unsaid is what happens if a team has an outbreak amongst vaccinated players......i assume the league will try to pin the outbreak on the unvaccinated.......but i am starting to suspect that the Virus is soo prevalent on our shores....that EVERYONE has it or has had it.......more and more vaccinated people are testing positive, but that's okay.....the vaccine doesn't eradicate corona , it simply teaches your body how to defeat it.....but don't tell the media....they treat every positive test as a case of leprosy. the media and dr fraud fauci, the bensonhurst snake oil salesman are calling this the outbreak of the unvaccinated......but i ask an obvious question.....how many people that are "Vaccinated" are still taking the invasive test ? unless mandated by your job, i would say less than 1% of the population.

the air we breathe every day is contaminated with trillions of particles.....our bodies are constantly fighting off antagonists.....from pollen and ragweed to the common cold and or seasonal flu....the wuhan bug, although wildly more popular with politicians and media; is not much different. It's definitely more deadly to certain at risk populations , but to the average American it is just another bug.with that in mind , the biggest shit show of all is coming.

Mayor Bozo wants all city employees vaccinated....NYC is a union town........the unions won't agree on the day of the week without getting something in return.....and most likely all city employees who do not get vaccinated will be tested for the China flu weekly........certainly that test will take place on city time....probably Overtime before a shift.....but the real $$$ is what happens with a positive test ? or better yet, what happens when a "Vaccinated " person test positive ? because after all, why should the unvaccinated get overtime for taking a test.....we demand to be tested too.... quarantine ? a 2 week paid vacation ? or do we simply ignore the results ? if he holds his ground and insists that any positive test , vaccinated or unvaccinated; requires quarantine....then the city will have to shutdown because of a lack of teachers, police, fire and transit workers.........because again......we all have breathed in the virus in the last year and we are probably all positive.....it will be interesting to see how this plays out a second time......i still think in 25 or 50 years...if the education system is fair ( a BIG IF) the focus will be on society's reaction/overeaction ....and not the virus itself.

the mayor also urges private companies to insist on bringing employees back to the office and requiring vaccinations......somewhere out there is a crop of Law school students that smell the blood in the water.

This weekend in Joe Bidens' America......in our nations capital actually......a gunfight erupted outside the gates of the Washington Nationals' stadium.....3 people were shot , including a female that had attended the game....shots rang out throughout the stadium and the fans ran for cover......some onto the field and trying to take cover in the dugout, others ducked under seats and tables and still more lead a stampede towards the outfield exits (opposite from where the gunfire was happening). The stadium announcer had to tell fans to shelter in place and remain in the stadium for their own safety.....umpires decided it was wise to cancel the game after only 6 inning....

members of the Texas state government boarded a plane for Washington DC to try and block a vote they didn't agree with regarding Voting Integrity....so at the National level democrats are trying to do away with filibuster and push through partisan bills by reconciliation.....and at the local level in Texas its the exact opposite....rather than loose a vote because they are the minority, they will try to grandstand and run and hide.....thus avoiding their elected duties .....at the least they should forfeit pay , and at the max they should loose their jobs.

incidentally....this morning they are reporting that 3 "fully vaccinated" members of that Texas delegation have tested positive for the Wuhan Virus........my very basic question is why are they still being tested if they are fully vaccinated ? I honestly don't know, perhaps it's mandatory  , but whatever the reason it still stinks of political privilege ......why keep testing fully vaccinated people ? because it's free ?  newsflash......nothing is free.

Thursday afternoon.....3:00 pm....Queens New York....caught on video....A mom is walking with her 3 kids....the youngest one....2 years old.....is happily running ahead of the pack....not far.....maybe 10-15 feet ahead........a 30 year old man jumps out of a parked car , grabs the child, throws him into the car and attempts to drive away......thankfully the older brother and sister attempt to stop the man , and while he is briefly delayed, the Mom reaches through the open passenger window and pulls the baby to safety........Police have very clear video....and even have very clear video of the assailant with another man (50 or 60 years old) moments before the attempted kidnapping....someone knows who these guys are.......if they don't come forward and tell Police, well ...i hope their child or grandchild is next.

another news item about the incredible rise in shoplifting....in particular , the very expensive beauty products from a a chain of stores on Long Island ( Ultra Beauty)....the newscaster speculated as to why, and even said with a straight face that the main driver is that these products are easy to resell on the internet.....they then showed store surveillance video of Black teenager, after black teenager, after black teenager coming into stores....filling up their baskets with 100's of items and then walking, jogging or dancing past the register and out the front door.....i'm going out on a limb....they are not listing for resale on the internet...processing your credit card, and then going to the post office to ship you your skin cream......and even if they were , that's NOT the main driver for the spike.....the main driver is that profiling criminals and hiring in store security to prevent people that FIT the profile of a thief has been outlawed and shamed....and the criminals know it.......a 15 year old boy in a tank top and shorts shopping in a womens beauty store is a thief....we all know it....he ain't buying mammy a mascara pen for the juneteenth celebrations.....he's grabbing everything he can get his paws on ( i am a dog, i know about paws) and walking right out the front door and selling his stolen goods for pennies on the dollar.......where does it end ? well Walgrens announced that they are closing dozens of pharmacies in SF due to shoplifting.....and seriously, which neighborhoods will be the first to close ? the ones in the neighborhoods that house the criminals.......and next year Snora O'donnel will do a sob story about poor people that cannot get their prescriptions filled because the pharmacies have all closed....boo fuckin hoo......one by one....industry by industry.....these business will close brick and mortar stores  and become exclusively online shopping.....and i don't blame them.

Charlie was a good friend, he had a heart of gold, would help anyone that asked , he didn't argue sports or complain about too much, he listened to whatever music was on the radio and he was not consumed by concerts, movies or too many of things the rest of us obsess over , he was one of the smartest guys i knew, he preferred the quiet open spaces of upstate NY to the hectic chaos of the streets of Brooklyn.....i'll share one story that sums him up in my memory.

fall of 1989, i was out of the Navy and living on 75th street....working on wall street , but i was broke....rent on a studio was expensive....i barely had money for tokens and lunch....i would meet the Chairman in the Dodger for George Mullane pick a price on Friday night ( you could literally drink all happy hour and into the evening for $20) eventually the conversation would turn to saturday and what time were we drinking for college football.....i being broke would try to delay around the house until the 4:00 games because i just couldn't afford to spend 12 hours in the bar......financially that is...mentally and physically i was craving to go to the bar at 11:00 a.m...........well in the beginning Charlie would call and say he was bored and ask if he could come over (with his luggage) which was a suitcase of Budweiser beer......and we would polish off a 12 pack before heading to the Liev or Musketeers.....soon it became a saturday ritual.....and on rare occasions when i had a few extra bucks i would offer him some $$ for the beer....but he never accepted....and always said don't worry about it.....he never made me feel uncomfortable.....eventually i caught up financially , and then we really started to drink , lol........but like i said....he was good guy with a big heart.....no grand gestures , just nuts and bolts kindness........rest easy pal......and thanks for all the laughs.

i have little or no faith in education system to tell the truth to future generations, we are becoming more of a close communist society with each passing month.  Our liberal social media giants censored the President of the Unites States for Christ Sakes and still RINO's ( republicans in name only) still use Facebook and Twitter everyday to chronicle their lives and brag about vacations.......the NY Post was censored for daring to report on Hunter Bidens laptop.......Facebook for 13 months blocked stories about the possibility of the China Flu originating in a lab in Wuhan........that gindaloon cocksucker from 13th ave....Fauci the Fraud went on national TV in March of 2020 and threw water on the possibility of the Virus originating in Wuhan.......no evidence he said....highly unlikely he said....just another conspiracy theory........turns out he not only knew it was LIKELY....but it was  his group that funded ( possibly illegal funding) the research in question....do you think that little tidbit will make it into little susie cumquats history textbook in 5, 10 or 20 years ? ? ?

So the Police that risked their own lives and arrested these animals did so for nothing.....the storeowners who saw their businesses robbed, looted and destroyed now get to see the culprits go free and have their records expunged....and yet some in high liberal society can't put their finger on why the common man is soooooo ANGRY.

so the nation celebrated Juneteenth saturday for the first time as a federal holiday.....i am fine with that.....i celebrate my Irish heritage every Saint Patricks's day....granted i have to use a vacation day to do so, but still if a group of people find a reason to celebrate...well....that's usually a good thing. What we can only hope for is that in the dreaded classrooms of our nation that the glorified babysitters have the courage to TEACH about how and why Slavery came to an end......and how many white males died fighting for the union and the end of slavery.(doesn't really matter what was in their hearts or what their motivation was...."science" says they died fighting for the union). let's hope they take the lesson a step further and trace the "Root Cause" of slavery......maybe the VP can explain who captured the slaves in Africa and the West Indies and sold them into slavery.......spoiler alert, it wasn't the white males of America......

lastly......saturday night over 1,000 people were lured , encouraged or inspired to show up at the Pristine Pier Village complex in Long branch NJ.....a small patch of High End restaurants and shops with  a beautiful beach that costs $$ to visit during the day and is closed at night.......well the visitors on this night were encouraged to bring their own alcohol and marijuana and have an impromptu / unwanted/ illegal dance party.....the Riots squads were brought in from neighboring towns, people dining in the cafes were harassed during their meals with Black lives Matter chants and an otherwise wonderful spot was ruined....maybe for good.......you won't find me there after sunset ever again, thats for sure........if this is the first you are hearing of this , well that's no surprise......despite hundreds of photos on the internet.....our local channel 2, 5 and 7 News have YET to even work this story into the rotation.....

far be it for me to disagree with Mr Dylan....of course he was right.......but in todays lesson i believe the first step was the creation of the ATM........in our little world that would be the Citibank ATM on the corner of 75th and 3rd......the concept of having access to your $$ in the bank ( not that i had any) 24 hours a day, 7 days a week was intriguing.........and my circle of friends  being all of 12 or 13 years old,  we saw this tiny room with an ATM as a potentially warm and dry place to drink beer when the elements were against us..... and so Steven McCormack opened an account and received a coveted debit card......and now we had a place to drink a beer or smoke a joint without being exposed to harsh weather....ah but i digress.

soon...the convenient ATM lead the way for banks to close or shorten their hours........soon non bank affiliated ATMs sprouted up in bodegas , outside train stations, at ballparks and arenas.....places where you were isolated or desperate for access to your own $$.........and with that came fees......big fees.....first the ATM that you used would charge you......then the bank that housed your $$ would charge you for using a ATM that was not their own........i was finally outraged when PNC bank bought the Garden State Arts Center.......installed PNC bank ATMs .....and began charging $10 for usage.......one desperate night and only once i fell victim..... after that i planned my cash on hand well in advance....moved all of my accounts to CHASE and if i can't get to a chase atm, i do without....

around this time the internet was exploding........every retailer hand their own website.......at first they asked if you wanted to create an account with your email to receive a discount and emails on upcoming sales.......it quickly morphed into our current situation where you can't even purchase something without registering and giving up your birthday.

and now its the APP.......no more physical tickets to concerts, ballgames or even the train.......buy it on the APP and download......Wall Street ? no more physical certificates....everything is computerized.

below deck Med ?  the Boat crashed becuase of computer malfunction.

Nuclear Sites.....Weapon Depots.....Fighter Jets, Tanks, your personal vehicle ?  all controlled by a computer

we are the ultimate fatted Calf being groomed for the slaughter........our entire existence hangs in the balance of the computer..........

and now come the hackers........pipelines paying ransoms.......Meat distributors being shut down for days.......doesn't anybody else see what's happening ?    WE ARE DOOMED........death by our own technology......i hope i am wrong....but i doubt that i am........but hey, lets talk about what flavor ice cream Joe Bidens eating....ha ha ha........so glad the scary orange man is gone so i can bury my head in the sand.

every now and again watching the news pays sweet dividends......this morning i caught a delicious story  on the hypocritical left, although that certainly wasn't the intent of wcbs.......apparently there have been wild parties in Washington Square Park on weekends.....thousands of animales jumping, dancing and swimming in the fountain.......garbage and debris everywhere...long after the park is supposed to close at midnight.....one video showed a few hundred people jumping up and down on the hoods of a dozen or so cars that were parked on the street.......oh well, personal property damaged.......quality of life up in flames.....this is what the left has imposed on the rest of the city and so it;s only fair that the chickens come home to roost in the heart of Greenwhich Village.......but ....wait for it....here comes the hypocrisy...local residents and community leaders were interviewed, and GUESS what they want ? ? MORE POLICE !!  wtf......why not practice what you preach.....why not talk to the revelers and explain that you live nearby and are trying to sleep.....explain to these misunderstood kids that the park closes at midnight and it's not cool to stomp on the hood of someone elses vehicle ....and if someone seems particularly strange or disturbed....offer to call in a social worker...........wasn't that the guidance from the left during the DEFUND the POLICE movement ? oh yes it was.......but just like with everything else.....the liberal is happy to tell you how to live a better life, but don't dare hold them to these same standards.......like John Kerry Flying around the globe in a private jet to lecture on global warming and carbon footprints......i hope the parties continue , and grow bigger, louder and more violent ......and i hope the Cops just shrug and look the other way.

incidentally.....yesterday was the poet Bob Dylans 80th Birthday........that is one of the great perks of living through this miserable age of earth.

 Don Jr tweeted that his Dad knows a lot more than he has said publicly about space aliens and he may have a press conference a few days before June 14 to break the story first.......apparently they have recovered a dozen bodies / creatures that seemed to die or go dormant upon entering our atmosphere..... they don’t know planets of origin but they are still dissecting them  at a remote VA hospital somewhere....... and then my mushrooms wore off and I was back at square one 

30 years went faster

 30 years ago today I visited the Pimlico racetrack for the first time.......after watching STRIKE the GOLD win the derby in Cobblestones and collecting a handsome payout, we decided it was the right move to drive down to Baltimore and double down. Myself and Rocco Deprizio caught a ride with my friend Angelo and his cousin Frankie.......we left Brooklyn at 7:00 am......stopped for breakfast and still got to Pimlico before 10:00.......parked on some shines lawn for $5 and dragged our two coolers of beer onto the infield.......we formed a 4 man circle and claimed a patch of grass and settled in for a long , hot day in the sun........A Rock Band playing in the pit between races.....7 colleges in a 10 mile radius around the track and vodka lemonades as the official drink ( black eyed Susan’s) made for quite the ambiance......around 4:00 they started coed Chicken Fights and quite a few bikini tops were lost in the scuffle.... and through it all we stood our ground amongst the 93,000 maniacs in attendance........I was 26 back then , fresh out of the Navy and in great Drinking shape, but by post time these college kids made me feel like an old man.....8 hours of pounding beer and occasional vodkas in the sun can do that to ya.......Hansel ended up winning and I gave back everything I had won two weeks prior, but it was an incredible day.....3 weeks later I was on the Pete Johnson Belmont trip and that’s a story for another day.......... I sit here this afternoon in the safety of my yard and drink my beer and tell stories to my dog...... I sent it in on Concert Tour boxed with Midnight Bourbon..... but as I reflect on the places I’ve been..... I thank the good lord for watching over me.

10 years went fast

 in what would later become known as the Cinco De Mayo Massacre.......Me, Donn and Brian Duffy would emerge virtually unscathed from a twisted pile of steel and glass on the onramp to the Grand Central Parkway......Donnie took the brunt of the impact, sitting upfront as our driver collided Head on with another vehicle doing 50 mph.........Duff and I in the back seat were thrown face first into the plastic partition......after emerging from the vehicle i thought i had suffered a concussion and blurred vision......until we realized that my eyeglasses had been thrown from my face and were still in the wreckage.....Donnie retrieved them and there was a great celebration when i put them on and could see again.....Duff had a split lip and a gash on his leg, and when the FDNY showed up they tried to first persuade us to go to the Hospital...we said NO....it's Cinco de Mayo.....they then tried to separate Duff from the 2 maniacs he was with and drive him back to the Firehouse....he said NO...... ..as we hailed another cab we heard that they needed the JAWS of Life to get our driver out of the car.......a short time later we found ourselves in midtown Manhattan , definitely dazed and confused.we went into a bar and were immediately seperated from each other.........i walked to Penn Station and remember going to Taco Bell for a few burrittos and and a few bottles of Corona for the train home.....Duff managed to find a Bus to take him home to Staten Island......and Donnie stayed in a bar in Midtown by himself for a few more hours......he called me on my cell as my train was approaching Redbank to ask me where i was.......a good 2 hours since i had last seen him.....he thought i was still in the bar.......earlier in the Day we watched the Mets beat the Giants from the Pepsi Porch......Dano, Kevin Carney, Pat Garry and maybe Jimmy Holland were there....but everyone else took either the LIRR or 7 Train back to NYC....we HAD to go to Mcfaddens for a few cold ones and then hailed a town car that was outside for a quick $20 ride to midtown....or so we thought........the next few days were a true blurr......Donn and i watched the Derby in my yard and we both were still out of it......I went to Dr Mulholland on Monday ad he confirmed my concussion....he asked me when the accident occured and i said with a straight face ( not trying to be funny ) "Cinco de Mayo"......he wasn't amused and checked his calender.......on Wedsnesday Donn went to Dr Mulholland and told a similar tale of a car accident....when asked when the accident occured donn said without hesitation. " Cinco De Mayo"........i don't think Mulholland has been the same since....This was all on May 5th 2011.

 O BESOS , is someone playing a MANDALOUN ?  i put down my SOUP AND SANDWHICH , and decided it was time for some MIDNIGHT BOURBON... the DYNAMIC ONE that i consider my HIDDEN STASH not the ordinary stuff. .....i put a little HELIUM in the bourbon , its the ESSENTIAL QUALITY that converts it to a SUPER STOCK....this stuff can really ROCK YOUR WORLD....now KEEPMEINMIND , nobody is going to nominate me for SAINTHOOD , but i drink LIKE THE KING, partly because i am HIGHLY MOTIVATED but mainly cause i am BROOKLYN STRONG., no run of the mill HOT ROD CHARLIE but rather like a KING FURY , I welcome this new BOURBONIC Plague...in fact it's my MDEINA SPIRIT and now you realize my KNOWN AGENDA.
