Well let's see.....we have a black mayor, a black city council. Side note.....the city council of Baltimore passed legislation to outfit the Baltimore police with body cameras in January..... The mayor vetoed it...... Thank God the mayor is black or else shed have some splainin to do.

college campuses throughout the 20th and 21st century have always been a place of free speech and demonstration......whether they went to far at times is open for debate.......whether you agreed with the various messages matters not , but the core value was always open ended discussion....a place to voice any opinion....or to protest anything someone else is demonstrating....even denouncing your country's involvement in War....or supporting the troops......open dialogue, exchange of ideas....tolerance for ALL IDEAS......students have weighed in on everything from Wall street investing in Darfur to vaccines for babies......racism...gay rights...vegetarians against the Klan ( Joe Jackson) ...no idea or cause was too contreversial, freedom to state anything... And also the freedom to protest or debate anything....both sides get to voice their opinion..... Sometimes on the same lawn in opposing camps.

earlier this week the University of Michigan gave in to protets from Islamic staudent who were offended by the Movie "American Sniper" because it displayed negative islamic sterotypes.....and so the school cancelled a showing of the Movie in the student Union,......you see as Christians we are told by the liberal left that we must be tolerant and accept others right to free speech, even if that means defacing a painting of the Virgin Mary with cow feces and calling it art......one big happy Utopian exchange of ideas.....stimulates the brain....leads to greater understanding of opposing views.

Forget for a moment the merits of the movie or the protest......its irrelevent.

What is painfully relevant is that Sharia Law has come to the United States and is alive and well on College Campuses......they will silence and stifle anything that offends the Prophet......no dialogue, no exchange of ideas, NO TOLERANCE......so a college campus, where you can burn an effigy of your own president and the flag of the Nation, where you can denounce the military and law enforcement or spit on the constitution has said you can not watch a Movie....you are not free to hear the message and decide for yourself....... Because "We The Educators  . will decide what your allowed to see and hear........

I don't care who you are , it is human nature to say after a harrowing life or death tour in a foreign country, that I am done.....I did my part , its someone else's time.....but ...to go back.....and back a third time, AND BACK A 4TH time.......only he can explain that........talk is cheap, coach Coughlin is right.....the commitment Chris Kyle felt towards his colleagues goes beyond words......if you haven't seen the movie, please do so.....you owe it yourself as an American to feel good for a few hours, to be happy, sad and scared....all at the same time....... I started my Wall Street career on October 9th 1989 for Waterhouse Securities in 77 Water Street 4th floor.......there were 4 Margin Clerks, 2 Acat clerks, one wire operator and 1 Manager....( and a p&s manger in the next section and a new wire operator a few months later) ..its amazing to realize i have stayed in very close contact with 7 of the 10.......Pascale, DeVito, Coniglione, Whalen, Micucci , Coleman and Perniola.

We have attended each others Weddings, kids christenings, milestone birthdays...we have befriended each others spouses...we have had annual BBQ's aka slobfests....attended ball games. Racetracks, breeders cup parties...taken road trips., fla, Vegas,  Atlantic city, Cooperstown.......we've met for drinks, discussed our careers and grown up / matured together.......maybe I havent matured yet, but close.

All of these events...... Every single time I have gotten together with this group , it has been joyous....laughter and celebration....even .in the days after 9/11 there was a tinge of relief that our little core group survived.....

Thats why it was so very hard to get together last weekend and say goodbye to Victor "Beans" Perniola..... The center of it all......the guy who kept us all in touch with him and each other......the guy who kept us all laughing...... The guy you couldn't look at when someone else was venting or ranting because he would crack you up.......

We will continue to get together..... And raise a glass for beansie.....but it will never be the same.

Congrats go out to 2 Sweater Nite Alum, my brother Steve and Nephew Sean...and 2 Sweater Nite Wannabees My nieces Kate and Breanne.....for Running the CHICAGO MARATHON this past weekend.....job well done....all four finished on a glorious midwestern morning.....hopefully they did all their Carb reloading before that Giant debacle....

not fit for primetime reporting

you probably wont see this on the evening news.....I heard a lot about obamas speech, but no mention of this little gem that only FOX NEWS seemed to catch or reported.

18 minutes into his speech Obama mentioned ISIS. Then, he went on to talk about “violent extremism” (he never mentioned “Islamic extremism”).  But after talking about terrorism and “taking action against immediate threats,” Obama transitioned to calling out America’s “failure” and “our own racial and ethnic tensions” in “the small American city of Ferguson, Missouri.”

in the sentence right before President Obama’s Ferguson comment in front of 191 other countries, the president said, “In a summer marked by instability in the Middle East and Eastern Europe, I know the world also took notice of the small American city of Ferguson, Missouri . . .”

Morally equating the events of Ferguson to Islamic terrorism and Russia’s annexation of Crimea gives foreign diplomats from Arab countries and Russia the excuse they need to dismiss America’s condemnation of their actions.

For anyone thinking that President Obama didn’t purposefully mean to equate the world’s problems with the events in Ferguson, two sentences later Obama blamed globalization for the public’s outrage in Ferguson:  “And like every country, we continually wrestle with how to reconcile the vast changes wrought by globalization…”

Overstating America’s issues doesn’t make us relatable; it makes others’ issues easily dismissable.

I was surprised and a little angry to see the Conservative Party marching on Washington DC to protest the airstrikes carried out in Syria yesterday and.... Oh.....wait a second..... That didn't actually happen.

circle of life

I bought a Weber 6 burner gas grill in 2001, a few months after we adopted Gravey..... For the next 13 years I grilled 10 or 11 months out of the year and 99% of the time Gravey stood by my side or laid in the Grass and observed like a safety inspector... On the coldest or rainiest days she would watch from the window.....not because she was afraid of the elements but because Valerie overruled us...I used to show her the food before it went on the grill so she would know what to expect..... Like a waiter showing a customer a $200 bottle of red wine......she'd wag her tail in approval..... She never had to beg because there was "always" something for Gravey.....we used to repackage the meat from Costco into smaller zip lock bags for three (me,val n graves).......last Sunday Sept 7th...before we knew she was sick, I was grilling chicken burgers and she was snoozing in the grass and the main support for the grill surface collapsed..... It scared both of us....I was Able to keep cooking on 2 burners but the rest of the grill was caput......"thats it pal" I told her..."time for a new grill....maybe if we're good Sanity Clause will bring us one at Christmas ".........I am real sorry she won't be around next spring when I Christen a new grill.

the NOW has finally woke up and demanded action.....more than 6 months after Ray Rice knocked his fiance senseless in an Atalantic City elevator the National Organization of Women has called for the immediate resignation of ?  no, not Ray Rice.....but the White Male that runs the league the suspened Rice indefinitely......I will never defend Roger Goodell , but it is an absolute joke that the NOW was silent for 6 months, and now suddenly joins the chorus of outrage and singles out a White Male......next month their going to stick up for Sarah Palin.

and the AOH.....Ancient Order of Hypocrisy........bows down to NBC $$ and Guiness $$$ and allows a Gay, Lesbian and Transgender Group to March with a Banner....BUT says it's too late to permit a Catholic Anti Abortion group to March...........now all the people that Boycotted Last Years Parade because it wasn't all inclusive will have to Boycott this years parade again because the Pro Life Group is not Included.....Ha Ha Ha....that would be priceless.

fare thee well

On September 12th 2001, i stood on my back deck...nervous, anxious, afraid, still in shock...i wasn't sure if i could go on, i didn't think there would ever be reason again to smile, let alone laugh.......i drank my beer in silence, hung my head....my dog Gravey had only been with us 6 months, but she stayed glued to my side and whenever i wanted to cry she licked my face.....i took a lot of days off in the 6 months that followed and we spent a lot of time sitting in the silence of the yard...she mirrored my every move, laid at my feet and listened to me as i talked to myself....she got me through the toughest stretch of my life.and through her silliness helped me to smile, and laugh and have great, Great times again......my wife Valerie  rescued Gravey from a life on the streets, she had cigar burns on her body , had kennel cough and was eating out of a dumpster, Valerie called me from the Pet adoption center at Petsmart and said "she Has great big brown eyes, and she Loves me"...thats all i needed to know......we took her in, she slept in a King sized bed, ate like a Queen and ruled her Yard like a land Barron.....and it breaks, breaks, BREAKS  my heart to say Goodbye to her today! .......like all dogs she provided unconditional love...she was delighted to see me every night i came home...she.never got mad about a text or held a grudge...her biggest crime was stealing the covers on cold nights or hogging the best seat on the couch at Movie time...(occasionally she got aggressive with Messier if mess got to close to one of her 475 rawhide bones scattered around the house) .I spent the day with her yesterday and although she was failing terribly, we managed a walk by the river and i  followed her around the yard and tried to repay the favor from so many years ago...you wont read her obituary in the Times, but she will be missed by her Cat Sister Messier, (predeceased by Fuzzy Cat & Jedmo) Valerie and I and countless family and friends...she had some real special dog sitters over the years..Nanny, Aunt Mary, Uncle Steve O'Dowd, Katie, Breanne, Aunt Carlene Sanchez and cousin Pat Molloy.......she was so very proud of her Dancing Bears leash, her Steal Your Face Collar and all her licenses and rabies shot medals on her collar ...her familiar jingle jangle will be missed in that yard ( i dont think she ever realized that Valerie loaded her down with medallions so she COULDN'T sneak up on Birdies at the bird feeder)..she was a well liked Pooch and she was chock full of personality.....did i say we rescued her ?  yes, well its obvious she rescued US more......Rest In Peace Gravey...we love and miss you and will never forget you...say hi to snoopy for me pal.

So what exactly changed with the release of the video of Ray Boom Boom Rice knocking out his fiance in a first round EKO. (Elevator knock out)...... What did the league, the Ravens,the Law and the good citizens of Baltimore think had happened in that elevator.... Prior to seeing what actually happened?....... Did they think the bitch mustuve deserved it ? Or did they simply care more about W's than HO's ?

in fairness, the stadium is beautiful....it has all the things I wanted from Giants Stadium.........plenty of Bars and Open space.......a unique architecture instead of a cookie cutter replica........easy access in and out....a subway across the street....$2 and 5 stops to downtown South Street.

Oy Vey, miserable bangiing of the african drums and rap lyrics in every square inch of the place.....way too loud speakers everywhere...the seats, the bathrooms, on line for a beer.....boom, boom, boom, unga bunga bunga boom.........and at the Navy-Temple game they seriously had a street fair DJ setup on the concourse playing competing war chants and tribal rituals..........and all these trailer park whites walking around bopping their heads to the beat of the medicine man and acting like they are so tolerant and living at peace with the savages.......I hate that Fucking City......Shines will be Shines wherever you go.......but Philly has the lowest class of white folks i have ever encountered.

Today the Putterer in Chief is taking a break from the driving range to attend a NATO meeting, where he will probably shake his finger at a camera and warn that everybody else is on the wrong side of history.....hopefully our Allies are ready to take offensive action against ISIS.....if they do it will be out of self preservation and not allegiance to obama ,,,,and why should they....we have basically NO relationship with Britian or France except for days like this when we NEED them.
