Dan O aka "Jacques" Cousteau

It was a hot day....it was a humid day.....it was a drunken saturnalian saturday....it was a day unlike any other that proceeded it......it was a day that Myrtle, That savage snapping turtle....won't soon forget......It will forever be remembered as the day that Dano Jacques Cousteau donned the pool goggles, and armed with nothing more than a broken skimmer and a case of amstell under the belt , took on the deadly beast that lurks below the surface. spectators won't soon forget the images that were platered upon their collective memories this day....one lone photo above is all that survived the pre-labor day massacre......Dano would later say he was not even concerned about the 5K reward that Big Jim offered for the capture of said Myrtle , he simply an ex merchant marine who was doing his duty...."that turtle is killing goldfish, and that ain't right.......if I don't take carte of business who will ? Higgins ? John Duffy ?? "

lost in the shuffle amidst an overflow of excitement that surrounded that day was the tiny fact that Myrtle quickly dove to the 4 1/2 foot depths of the pond and Dano refused to persue....she lives another day....."f*ng green water" he would later quip.....'i wasn't going under".

I may have to take matters into my own hands.

Rotis Pre-Draft work

Three GM Kinpins were recently spotted chatting with none other than Gary Meyers of the NY Daily News, exchanging barbs and insight on the upcoming season no doubt. The GM's of "Big Green" , "The Hoffbeasts" and "Hail Liev" were caught by the SN2K lensmen chatting over a plate of ziti and a case of beer in the Meadowlands parking lot.....Jim Judge and Dicky Betts immediately filed a grievance.....Roy D just chuckled when he saw the photo and proclaimed " They need more help than Gary Meyers".

noticeably absent were the GM's of the troubled Frank & Dean whom are rumored to be on the outs......it's the end of an era said Chaz, but with the exception of 1 miracle season with Elis big brother, the disbanding of Frank and Dean is more like the end of an error.

more roto news to follow in coming weeks.

He's Back

I did Big brown a favor yesterday and sent it in on Mr. Prado and atoned , not sure if you had the pleasure to see tha race , but Big Brown dug deep twice in the race, he broke like a champ, but still had to make two moves....one to get back in striking distance and finnally on the home stretch.....right after Larry Dirkin called the upset BB went to another level , veered outside and nipped the 6 horse at the wire....it's good to have him back in the game, good for the sport overall.......

me ? I am off to the tarheel state in a few minutes , will check back with my loyal readers next week sometime......lace up , gear up , drink.

Toga was an unabashed sucess.....even strovika made an appearance via satelite at the pool on saturday.....chaz was curious how the big guys summer was progressing.
