21 years ago today the World Trade Center was attacked.......i ...like hundreds of thousands new yorkers rode the path train and took the elevator up by the Commuter Cafe Bar hours before the blast.....what i don't remember was in the immediate aftermath, did we proudly exclaim NEVER FORGET ? i sure hope not..

through the past darkly
stole the subject of this post from Neil, hope he doesn't mind.
its so fukin simple to see and yet we refuse.......fast forward to an economic class in O'keefes or your favorite instution of "Higher" learning........let's say 2029 or later........a professor stands before his class ( products of Mayor Deblasio Innaugaural NYC Child Care Class and he tells them.)
"so in February of 2014, tired of being beaten up in the Press and the Court of Public Opinion for fighting the President over the debt Ceiling, and after loosing 2 Presidential elections, the Republicans went against their conservative tea party roots and instead gave the President a Clean debit Ceiling Increase with no strings attached in order to win favor with the ignorant Public.......and that Boys & Girls was what lead to the Financial Collapse of _ _ _ _ " fill in the blank.....2015, 2016.....2014 dare I say.
Boehner needs to stand before the podium and tell the people in the swing states....This is what YOU asked for......This was Your mandate....YOU the People have spoken.....we will no longer fight the good fight and get beaten up for it......YOU want this, You got This.......drowned in your own debt.

forget for the moment the obvious fact that deblasio just wants to tax the rich and is using Pre-K as a means to get his new taxes.....lets set that aside and look at the issue of Pre-K.
Instead of calling it Pre-K , NYC should call it free child care for preschoolers....not just for semantic reasons but for economic ones........before i proceed let me say...if you know a teacher, are married to a teacher or generally support teachers, you may want to switch over to facebook and play floppy birds for the next ten minutes or so ( Sorry Eggroll).
IF it is indeed called Pre-K , then NYC is obligated to add a whole new grade of Union Teachers to the already bloated ranks of the UFT.......that means the person they hire to sit in a classroom and watch 3 year olds pick their nose, wet their pants and eat paint will have the same priviliges of a High School teacher.( They are the ones that sit in a classroom and watch 13 year olds sniff glue, have sex and deal drugs....there is a big difference).......these new super nanny's would earn tenure and have summers off and christmass, easter and fuel week vacations.......(remember how dissapointed we were when we realized FUEL week was about gasoline and not ....well never mind)....they would earn sojouns in the rubber rooms and collect pensions for the rest of their lives on the taxpayer dime just like the esteemed educators of our day..
so whats the solution or alternative?
well we already have an overpopulation of baby mamas who are sitting at home caring for their children, pausing the Oprah and The Behany Frankel show long enough to waddle to the mailbox to pickup their public assistance checks.....why not create a new occupation ? a whole new industry if you will, a new career choice specifically targeting the very people who are already performing the role without pay..Mothers....offer this multitude of woman who seriously cannot work because they cant afford to have someone watch their kids while they are at work...let's give them some professional training in Child care and hire them for half the price of teachers, no tenure, no summer shutdowns (3 weeks paid vacation like the rest of us is fine) and a modest pension or 401K.......at the very least it will provide good training that they can extend to their children at home , and who knows, they may develop a whole new sense of self worth...take pride in their job, become a positive influence and stability for the preschoolers they are charged with and carve out a career path for themselves.....lets face it, you do not need a college degree to change a diaper or read a book to a toddler..
The city could then offer year round child care for anyone that needs it, have the folks that earn a living pay a small fee and those living below the poverty line pay nothing.. sure there would be abusers, but there will be in Pre-K too.....
and then the alarm went off and we woke up to Randy Weingarten and her band of lesbians screaming bloody murder and refusing to endorse the mayor.....oh well....the first lesson of Pre-K ,,,,ask NOT what's best for your City........just demand whats best for YOU.

this is not Unreal....unfortunately its very believeable.
it applies to all sports franchises, but this current example is from the NY Jets.
The Jets have announced a reduction in ticket prices for the upper bowl seats ...Bravo ?
Oh , and an increase for the lower bowl....so what?
well lets examine....the upper bowl tickets were already dropped to $50.00 face last year, compared to $85.00 for the Giants....how cheap are they going to be this year ? boy these Jets are Good to their Fans...
not so fast.....the upper bowl does not come with a PSL, hence those folks are under no contractual obligation to purchase tickets or renew their season tickets....in other words they can walk away from a lousy team without taking a financial hit.........so the Jets will play a game of "how low can you go" to keep those suckers on the line for tickets.
the lower bowl ? you geussed it....they Have PSLs......$5,000.00 a pop or more.......if the JETS raise single seat prices to $900.00 those folks have to swallow their pride, dig deep and pony up the cash or geuss what ???? they loose the right to buy season tickets....in other words they default on their pSL, and the JETS keep their $5,000 per seat PSL.......so if you have 4 seats on the 20 yeard line downstairs , you either pay the increase on rtickets or forfeit you 20K.......yes, you can sell that PSL to another sucker, but nobody is paying 20K for the right to buy tickets that go UP in price every year.
THIS IS EXTORTION....plain and simple.

i dont know,,,,,,what are we 30 days into his term as mayor....and i am so fukin sick of deblasio.....the only good thing is he announced he will NOT march in the Saint Patricks day parade because a Religious organization is opposed to having people that violate their commandments carry banners celebrating that same fact in their parade.......how dare they.....maybe we should march in the MLK day parade with KKK banners.....our Columbus day parade with a DAGOs SUCK banner.....

Staten Island Chuck Bludgeoned
disturbing story coming over the wire this hour......seems an enraged Steve Mcevoy verbally assaulted "Chuck" Staten Islands loveable Groundhog (and official mascot of GroundHog day) this morning for not coming out of his dwelling and declaring summer was just round the corner.....the Maniac Mcevoy followed the vocal attack with a more substantiated beatdown with some MTA issued rakes, garden Hoes and a sledgehammer ......through a spokesperson affiliated with the Bay Ridge Saint Patricks Day parade Mcevoy issued the follwoing statement.
"This Fu*kin critter has one lousey job to do all year....just come out of your taxpayer funded cave and see your shadow and tell everybody theres no more snow, for Gods sake...everybody wants to go to Riis Park and Bay 14 and drink some dam beer, am i right? nobody wants to shovel anymore"........sadly the whole incident probably could have been avoided....it turns out Mcevoy was actually in front of the Polar Bear Exhibit at the Staten Island Zoo( not Chucks little House in clove Lake) and he attacked a rare hedghog that was a gift of the nation of New Zealand.....AND ...adding insult to injury......he was a day early.........when told groundhog Day was actually tomorrow, Mcevoy threatened to have his lawyer Al Nahass sue every fukinbody..
