i never really cared much for new years eve and so this year too i will just skip it.....partly because i am still sick with the China Flu but mainly because New Years Day is now and always will be one of my favorite days of the year.....and so i chose to rest up and celebrate the NEW YEAR and say good riddance to the one that has passed.....i do so with Beer, Music, Beer, sports and BEEEEEER.......you said beeeeer 3 times....well i'm just getting started.

well don't think that because half the state has the China Flu, that Gov Murphy will let that influence or ruin his holiday plans.....no sir......the Gov who just snuck by Jack Cittarelli in November ( Thanks to the teachers union and some absentee ballots) is on his way to San Jose....as in Costa Rica ; for a much deserved 8 day vacation......never mind that he has been railing about masks and CDC guidelines and Vaccines for 21 months , never mind that the state dept discourages travel to Costa Rica at this time....never mind that clueless Joe just stated that there is NO FEDERAL SOLUTION to Covid and that it is up to the Govs to figure this thing out....never mind that NJ residents that are employed by NYC firms are having their constitutional rights trampled by an illegal overeach of a vaccine mandate in Manhattan......OR that they are about to be double and triple taxed by NYC with congestion pricing.....never mind that those same people feel compelled to drive because the public transit systems are a LIFE or DEATH gamble all day/everyday.......never mind all that......Horse Face Murphy is OFF to the BEACH.

Funny fact.....after the dems and blacks cried about TREE Equity and how everything is stacked against them and there is racism in the air and water and roads and everything ( Hell even the China Flu is racist).....NYC setup 5 locations from which FREE at Home covid tests were being handed out so the good citizens of this city didn't have to stand in lines waiting for a wuhan test......guess where the 5 locations were?.....Jamaica Queens, Malcolm X Blvd and 125th, Flatbush and Church Ave, Fordham Rd and Bay Street S.I .......if you are not familiar with NYC i will give you a spoiler alert....these are the blackest neighborhoods in each borough.....they give new meaning to the phrase Dark Continent.......as a white male i am waiting for my $100 for getting vaccinated.....and waiting for my head of the line priviliges for being awarded a marijuana sales license, i want a free at home test, a child tax credit, extended unemployment , slavery reparations.....and a FUCKING TREE planted in front of my house....

oh well.....maybe i will jet down to Costa Rica to hang with the Gov whilst i wait on that tree.

I woke up Tuesday morning, sick as a dog (Not Matteau)......i tried my usual remedy of Jack Daniels with Lemon Tea and Honey and Tylenol, but apparently the China Flu is immune to American Whiskey....and so we were forced to cxl plans for the Eve and Christmas Day, not so much out of an abundance of caution but because we both felt like death soup warmed over.....dry cough, headache, fatigue and General malaise ( Admiral malaise was in a strip bar)....but yet i stand before you this Christmas Eve morn as a very Happy, grateful and truly blessed individual....I chose to focus on all the wonderful things in my life and not feel sorry for myself for missing 48 hours of parties.

One thing i am grateful for is the fact that i do not have work today . I always felt like the Bob Cratchet looser of the year when i had to get on that miserable train on 12/24......it was empty except for a few other losers and a rookie crew that drew the short straw. In the office it was always that bullshit waiting game of hoping they would announce a departure schedule and then trying to scramble to find a holiday schedule train home.....i remember the years of calling around to see what trains my friends (if they were IN ) were catching...and i always had to go to the B and even C list to find someone, ANYONE; to ride the train with.....because the only thing worse than drinking beer on a 90 minute train home on Christmas Eve is doing it by yourself.

In my Navy Years i would always volunteer to take duty on the Eve and Christmas Day for a married guy if we were in port....i remember how grateful some of these guys were.....for them it was a Christmas miracle....for me it was better to remain on ship with all the single guys and pretend it was just another day , than to sit in a gin mill in Jacksonville Beach and be forced to look in the mirror and think about home.

And so today i will smile knowing i am home in my basement bar....a place where i have more whiskey than Lynchburg Tennessee....enough beer to satisfy a hoard of thirsty campers....great food, a warm house, music galore and the nuclear family intact and a warm, fuzzy dog pushing me off the couch. Eeven though i am under the weather, i am grateful for my health; for this too shall pass. In a weird way i am looking forward to 72 hours of drinking, snoozing, eating and watching 90 day fiancé or below deck reruns....

so i wish all my loyal readers the serenity that i am feeling today.....happiness is right here in front of us if we chose to find it.....turn off the news for 3 days and enjoy the good things around us...howver grand or small....it's okay to push back against that dog that is stretching out....just patt his head and cover him with a blankie.

i sat in front the TV last nite and was preoccupied with another lost oppurtunity for this looser-in-chief.

Last month we saw video of people chasing Kristen Senema into an airport bathroom and challenging her on her opposition to the Build Back a Better Taliban bill.....Kristen Senema is a Democrat....Joe Biden ran on a platform of unifying the country and both parties.....when asked to condemn the people whi chased/filmed the Senator from Arizona , he said..."it's all part of the process"   so much for civility.

Sunday Joe Manchin stated he absolutely cannot support BBB.....and he personally did not appreciate being called out by the White House....being harassed on his family's Houseboat , and being made the scapegoat for everything......ignorant black poloiticians accused him of obstructing Democracy , when in fact he was exercising Democracy....but hey, they've only been in this country 3 or 400 hundred years....they can't be expected to know the meaning of big words...they heard it once and they repeated it....whatever it means is mute.

next day multiple Blacks went to CNN to say that Manchin was Racist.....Bette Midler ( a fuckin jew bitch) had the nerve to say that the people of West Virginia are poor, ignorant and strung out on drugs.....the party of tolerance never fails to drop the ball,,,,and Biden and the White House said nothing.

This was a golden oppurtunity for the CIC to say that he's known Manchin for 30 plus years, he respects his integrity and he unequivocally denounces anyone inferring that the Senator is Racist......it would have been the highlight of his Presidency to give a passionate speech about race in this country and to call out the far left for playing the race card and for slandering a good man that merely disagrees with their bill. He could remind everyone that when you call non racists a RACIST, the impact of the word looses all power and people tune you off. He could have insisted that all we all learn to negotiate in good conscience and to respect the other side opinions and objectives.........it would have gone a long way in restoring some faith with the independents that voted for Biden but now realize that AOC & the squad are running the country.....November can't get here fast enough.

and just like that it appears the NHL participation in the Bejing Olympics is in peril. The league has until January 9th to formally withdraw and based on two main factors it appears they will. First and foremost is the cancellation of games due to outbreaks of the wuhan virus...they league cannot shut down for 3 weeks for the Olympics and still find available dates to reschedule games that have been already cancelled.....they will need some of those days back in February . The second factor which is not really talked about in the light of day, so as to not offend the Chinese hosts is the fact that the players are starting to have reservations about venturing to Bejing......there are no clear guidelines as to what the Communist Chineese Govt will do should an athlete test positive for the China Flu while in Bejing. One only has to go back to August to realize the current administration will do NOTHING to rescue it's citizens from a hostile foreign government.....let alone a dozen hockey players eh ?

Navy does not have a great defense.....surely Army will cover the total themselves and beat these squids by a dozen or more......right ??

But the one thing that didn't show up in all the japanese plans for global domination was the resiliency of the American serviceman...particularly the Navy.....and the sheer brilliance and street smarts of our Admirals like Bull Halsey, Chester Nimitz and Ray Spruance.( I put Halsey first because he is from Elizabeth NJ and  my personal favorite, his biography is essential reading)

Under this Holy Trinity of leadership the United States Navy  rose from the ashes......dusted herself off, rebuilt and ultimately destroyed the Godless Bastards of the Japenese Empire.(today their descendants are left to make tiny radios and eat sushi off naked models in tokyo)....and when brought to her knees, the Nips were forced to come aboard the Mighty USS Missouri to sign away their unconditional surrender in Tokyo bay.

i shudder to think about how this country will react when the next pearl harbor happens, but that's a rant for another day......today we reflect back on the poor souls and countless lives that were lost that day, the thousands of families that were changed forever.....we hope and pray that a valuable lesson was learnt, one that will prevent future generations from having to endure similar atrocities...but i won't hold my breath.

America consumes 18 million barrels a day....do the math..but wait theres more

Fox Business is reporting that the 50 million barrels released will primarily go to CHINA and INDIA to relieve the global shortage.......again....not a joke........even Rodney couldn't come up with these jokes.

So the President is tapping the national Oil Reserve.....something that has only happened in the past because of War or the aftermath of Storms that halted production in the Gulf of Mexico....

.will anyone on the evening news remind America that President Trump took advantage of Historically low gas prices ( $38 a barrel) to restock and tap off our national reserves last year ? don't hold your breath.

sometimes you don't need a magnifying glass to spot the abnormalities....sometime the differences are glaring.......take for instance the MSM response to the events that unfolded in Waukesha, Wi on Sunday evening. Darrell Brooks was apparently fleeing a domestic abuse incident and drove his SUV through a Christmas parade and killed 5 women aged 52 to 81 (that were part of a beloved troupe performing in the parade known as the Dancin Grannies) and sent over 40 people to the hospital (including 18 children)

Although the media reported the story, i have yet to see anyone at CBS, ABC or whomever give the incident a Catchy Title and image ....like the ones they usually trot out when they intend to milk a story for a few weeks....like 'Murder in Miami"....."Collapse at the Shore"....."High School Horror" etc etc .....i don't watch CNN but according to Greg Guttfeld they were portraying the assailant as the RED SUV ....as if it were driverless or a posessed automobile.....why are the avoiding focus on Darrell Brooks ? maybe because he is a career criminal who was twice released on small bail in the last 12 months, even though he apparently has an active warrant for his arrest in Nevada ? maybe because he was released from jail after running over a woman with the very same SUV earlier this year ? Or maybe because the District Attorney in question ran on a platform of low bail....and then immediately through one of his junior assistants under the bus and launched an internal investigation into the measley $1,000 bond his office requested 10 day ago ?

One aspect of the case that has yet to be raised is the correlation between this event and the now famous event that occurred miles away in Kenosha . Darrell Brooks was fleeing a domestic abuse incident, so too was Jacob Blake.......Darrell Brooks got into his SUV and fled at high speed to escape the area........Jacob Blake may very well have done the same if the Police did not stop him.......we will never know who may have been plowed to death had Blake been allowed to flee the scene as so many liberal talking heads have suggested the Police should have allowed.

Yesterday we spoke of professional sports........i vividly remember the day i walked away from the NY Mets for life.......in a pathetic , look at me orchestrated event for the MSM cameras, Dom Smith took his place on the field for the Mets-Marlins game....and then walked off the field in tears ...stopping only at home plate to drape it with a BLM t-shirt......he then boo hoo'ed his way through a press conference and said he was too upset ov the Jacob Blake shooting to play baseball........i wonder how he feels about the Dancin Grannies.......i did notice that the Milwaukee Bucks played a home game last night...a mere 24 hours after their fellow citizens were mowed down by a career thug.....i'm sure there was a moment of silence.......I wonder if the Packers plan to take a stand against this senseless waste of life and draw attention to this low bail fiasco that is endangering everyone .........i wonder if Lebron James wants to have a conversation about any of this ?

I also wonder why the Boston Celtics acquired the talented Center Enos Kanter , but have thus far played him sparingly ? could it be because he called out Lebron James and Nike as hypocrites for making sneakers with chinese slave labor and for putting profits above all else ?

although i drift further from the world of sports with every passing season, i am reminded that the games themselves are not the problem....but rather as society continues to erode it is the miscreant participants that destroy the foundation......But every now and again you hear a wonderful story that came to the stage because of sports....Jared Casey is one of those.

In fairness the only show i watch on Evil ESPN is college Gameday, and they never disappoint....and yesterday was no exception....On November 13th the 31 point under dog Kansas Jayhawks beat the Mighty University of Texas in Austin,  on a risky two point conversion in OT.......and that is just the tip of the iceberg. The player who caught the conversion pass was a walk-on fullback that have never played an offensive snap before ( he was used only as a special teams player on kickoffs) FB Jared Casey from Plainville Kansas.......now comes the really amazing part.......20 years ago while pregnant with Jared, Mrs Casey was told by her doctor that the child she was carrying would only live a week because of a rare blood disorder that they discovered.......her and her husband were devastated but held true to their Christian beliefs and she carried the child full term.......obviously he didn't die......he grew up and fell in love with Football, but when he graduated high school the only offers he had were from Junior Colleges........he chose to go to KU and try out for the team.....he made the team but only played on special teams ...........his parents still drove to every game....even the 11 hour drive to Austin.....one month prior to the game Mrs. Casey lost her brother in law, and before he died Jared visited and gave his Uncle his KU receiver gloves.........before the game Mrs. Casey said a young boy in Texas gear came up to them in the stadium and said one word "Believe" and walked away.....strange occurrences in the desert no doubt.......as the game went  to overtime the Casey were starting to feel they were witnessing something special......what they didn't know was that the Kansas tight end was injured in oT and ruled out for the remainder of the game.......Kansas scored at the other end of the field to make the score 56-55........and decided to go for the WIN...or loose the game if they failed.......his Mom decided to video tape the play but his Dad couldn't bear to watch and buried his head in his hands.......neither of them realized at first that Jared was on the field playing tight end.....the QB rolled out and threw back across the end zone for the win.........as the Jayhawks mobbed the tiny tight end his parents finally realized that it was Jared who caught the pass.....as Mom continued to video tape, Jared made his way to the other end of the field and made eye contact with his parents and gave them a thumbs up ...in the grand scheme of the College Football Playoffs this will register not even a footnote......but to me.....this was the play of the year.......maybe somebody needed to hear this story.....maybe someone who is dealing with a devastating medical prognosis or someone who has just lost a child or a brother in law or anyone special.......that play won't change the world, that play won't save humanity, but hopefully somewhere....someone....will be inspired to BELIVE....and i had to share that !

With great honor and respect we would like to wish the United States Marine Corp a Happy and Healthy Birthday ......246 years ago a recruitment drive began in the Tun Tavern in Philadelphia ( a spot near Penn landing that is now marked with a historic landmark sign as the original building was razed) by Sam Nicholas and the Manager of the Tavern Robert Mullan....to recruit an elite force of veteran men to assist George Washington and capable of fighting both on land and at sea.

Through the past two centuries and a half the USMC has distinguished itself as the greatest fighting force the world has ever known. As horrific as the battle against Germany on the shores of Normandy was, the campaign in the Pacific was far worse. Perhaps because these battles were fought on islands in the sea , the press at the the time was unable or unwilling to share the unfathomable details with the folks back home .....at least not the brutal details of hand to hand combat against the Godless Japanese bastards.

 Guadalcanal, Bougainville, Tarawa, Guam, Tinian, Cape Gloucester, Saipan, Peleliu, Iwo Jima, and Okinawa saw the most fierce fighting the United States has ever experienced in her glorious history. The Navy rose from the ashes of Pearl Harbor and forced the ultimate surrender onboard the Mighty Missouri , but make no mistake; that war could not have been won at sea alone. The Human sacrifice to take and hold they key series of islands that lead to the Japanese homeland were crucial in the eventual dropping  of the Atomic bomb by the Enola Gay.

I interjected once at a bbq on behalf of a friends father.....a WWII Marine Vet ( no names please) who was engaged with a simpleton career civilian...a pompous ass that loved to bloviate about nothing and was minimalizing at best or mocking at worst the role of the Marines in the Pacific. ( surely it was a failed attempt at humor for a socially awkward introvert), but i couldn't listen anymore and had to school this man who was 20 years my senior............now my friends Dad certainly didn't need me sticking up for him, but i had been drinking cold beer in the hot sun and couldn't resist........he pulled me aside discreetly so that nobody's feeling were hurt and just said "he's not worth it".............that says more about his character and that of his fellow United States Marines.......God Speed and Thank You All for saving the World....truly the World's Greatest Generation.

Winsome Sears emigrated to America from Jamaica at the age of 6.....her Dad says he had $1.75 in his pocket when they landed in the Bronx and he found a job to support the family. She is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and last week became the first woman of color to be elected Lt Governor in Virginia's history..........surely Disney already has a movie in the works.....heck the obamas will use some of the mad loot they took from Netflix to produce a mini series on this womans life......schools will be named after her and statues erected..........one problem, she is a  Republican...those awful people that choose candidates based on ideas and not the color of their skin, Gender or sexual perversion.....

and so now, after being played for morons and fools...an insider with the Mets has confirmed what most of suspected....there was no Rat or Racoon...or Ratcoon  in the dugout tunnel this summer....but instead there was an altercation between middle infielders Francisco Lindor and Jeff Mcniel.......everyone right on down the line circled the wagons and stuck to the Rat/Racoon story........their little inside joke at the expense of their ignorant fans....but now we hear that Lindor followed Mcniel into the tunnel and grabbed him by the throat.........let that sink in..........ask yourself......had the roles been reversed.......had utility man and probable trade bait Jeff Mcniel grabbed the 300 million dollar man by HIS throat .....would we have heard about it immediately ? would Mcniel have been fined, suspended or even released ?  would louie rojas have told the press that theres' just no place for that in the game and would the Mets have insisted that violence isn't part of the winning culture they are building ? 

 It's my opinion that Lindor threw JD Davis under the bus when he made an error early in the year ( Mets lost 3-1, lindor was hitting .200 and he said the defense let the team down ...Davis made an error that night) because he preferred his fellow latino Louis Gillorme as his infield partner.......and he lobbied for Javy Baez instead of Mcniel at 2nd...........very similar to when that other POS Santana cried when a young left fielder misplayed a ball in the Miami sun in the first week of the season that cost him a run in a 2-1 loss.....that outfielder was none other than Danny Murphy........

so maybe it's not racism but just preference......if i had a choice to hang out in a bar and have a few beers i would chose to do so with Mcniel and Davis instead of those imported Ricans Baez and Lindor......but the undeniable fact is that Met management covered up an ugly transgression by one of their star players.....protecting their investment ? perhaps.......but let's not get on a soap box and preach down to the world the next time an ordinary Joe or Jeff does something similar.

in short, i hope the mets trade the few guys a like this offseason, so i can laugh as they loose 100 games......remind me again ?   how many games did Don Smith say he was too upset to even play after the 13 soldiers were killed in Afghanistan ?  how many times did he make a spectacle of himself and drape home plate with a Blue Lives Matter T-shirt after an innocent police officer was killed in the line of duty ? ? ....sorry...my mistake.....those grand jestures are saved for miscreant thugs who are injured while slapping the shit out of their baby mamas.....good to know.

Sweater Nite 24 will be held on Sunday Afternoon the 20th of FeBREWary  at the hallowed grounds of Lief Eirikson Pub on 5th ave in the neighborhood once known as Yellowhook... in the borough of Churches and the birthplace of pizza. This is of course Presidents weekend and so some folks will be off the next day.

Interesting tidbit.....the NHL will be on hiatus because of the Olympics ....and because of the time difference between Brooklyn and Bejing, the Gold Medal game which will be played in the land of wuhan on Sunday afternoon,  will be aired live in the Unites States at 11:00 P.M. Saturday Evening .

so do we go out saturday night and watch the game in the Taverns and Beerhalls of 11209 ? or in the friendly confines of the Gregory Hotel ? In any event i am sure that NBC will replay the game sunday afternoon.......hopefully the friendly faces dressed in Red, White and Blue will be donning their Gold Medals by the time we arrive at PC's for the pregame skate.

Cracker Jack Steve Mac again holds the reigns as the Music coordinator , he's not sure if he's playing with The High Tides....ShaDumski ....or relinquishing the stage to local favorites Bobby Microwave and Colonial Road......either way we are in for a treat.

I'll of course expound more on the subject in the annual letter , but I hope everyone that does attend appreciates how special it is and how lucky we are to still have an institution like the  Lief  in our rotation. I can't walk into the Bar without thinking about Dano and the countless hours and fantastic times we spent there.....Super Bowls, World Series, Hockey Playoffs , Norwegian days, St Pat's parades.....very special place......proud to claim it as an integral part of my youth.

my preseason pick to win the Cup took a hit when Joel Quinnville was forced to step down as Head Coach of the Florida Panthers after an a 7-0 ( now 8-0) start.....if you haven't heard the story.....google it........i'm too disgusted to repeat it......save to say that nobody who is who i thought they were.....Not Joe Paterno, not Bob Baffert and apparently not Joel Quinville........I still have faith in the ownership of Brooklyn native  Vinny Viola and wish the Panthers well.

another team of interest is the Carolina Hurricanes........as i continue to look for a retirement town in North or South Carolina , it would appear that the Blueshirt alumni has settled in nicely to the Raleigh Durham lifestyle.........The Mighty Canes dress at least 3 of our old Rangers in Tony Deangelo, Aanti Raanta and one of my favorites Derek Steppan.......the Canes also are off to a franchise record 7-0 start.

and lastly the Calgary Flames have caught my eye.....they came east and ran the table without breaking a sweat.....easy road Victories over the Caps, Preds, Rangers and Devils.....they are fast....they can score...and played solid defense on the road........Johnny Geaudreau (johnny hockey fm BC by way of New Jersey) and Andrew "the hungry window" Mangiapane , alomg with a Tkachuk and you have the foundation for winning hockey....we may see Geaudreau and Tkachuk for team USA in China....

new day, same topic.....but an important one.....The FDNY held a significant protest outside of Gracie Mansion yesterday protesting the city's vaccine mandate.....this truly is a critical juncture for this city and everyone that lives here, works here or intends to one day visit. 

It's redundant to say, but i will anyway....everyone outside of the criminal element breathes a little easier, feels safer and is reassured when we see the men and women in BLUE on the streets , in the subways , outside a sporting event, patrolling a park or driving through their neighborhood.

As someone who has worked in many buildings in lower Manhattan....some new, some ancient with archaic elevators , narrow stairwells and faulty elevators.....some high rises....some enviable targets for those that hate us......i was always trepid when working in these buildings, it was and is my nature.....but i always volunteered to be the fire warden and looked forward to my first fire drill where the FDNY would send out an expert to walk us through the safety features and detail what steps to take in an emergency.....truthfully i always felt that all i had to do was be lucky enough to survive the blast or collapse or being engulfed in smoke long enough for the Fire Dept to arrive ( and their response times have always been off the charts) and that i would be okay........and that's exactly what happened on 9/11... a fella my own age opened the door to the 4th floor of tower one and told me it was safe to proceed down the stairs despite the rising smoke  and to take everyone with me ......we went down to safety, he went up to the next floor.

I kind of wish that i was still working in manhattan, so that i could organize a protest amongst my fellow workers , to pressure my company to pressure the city and end this mandate ( or else we wouldn't report to an unsafe work environment.....because make no doubt about it......everyone in the city will be less safe come monday)

I think back to the dark days long ago , March 2020.........i like millions of others were told to stay home....lock the doors, wash your face and don't touch your hands......i'm still home.

The essential workers were told "hey, you took an oath to protect and serve, now get back out there or else"

now these same folks are being told "hey, we don't need you , get the jab or get out"

The saddest part is that we have allowed a lame duck mayor to exert so much power and influence. This is not right, this is not the only answer, we have alternatives, there is no need to draw a line in the sand, daily testing and or less public facing roles for the unvaccinated should be an option......and it would be if this was truly about public safety....but alas it is not, it is about power....I am apoplectic with rage at the very real possibility that 26% of our Police and 32% of our Fire Dept will loose their jobs and are being put in this position.....painted as the enemy, portrayed as the problem, all lumped into one negative stereotype. this isn't a problem searching for a solution......the answer is there...but the powers that be don't wish to fix this, they wish to tear it down.

Our Favorite Garbageman Craig Pazarecki just called and reminded me not to  forget the Sanmen that clean the streets and sweep up after our mess....unfortunately i had already hit post.......better luck next pandemic SDNY.

Staten Island State Supreme court judge Lizette Colon ( diversity) gave NO REASON for blocking the PBA's request for an injunction on the city's vaccine mandate. This is a decision that may lead to thousands of Police and Fire being blocked from going to work this Monday if they are not vaccinated. This is a decision that will put the entire city in harms way.......this is a decision that demands a REASON.

Covid has been with us for almost 2 years.........Vaccines were fast-tracked for emergency use 10 months ago.....and the majority of the nation has chosen to get vaccinated. The constitutionality of these mandates will eventually be decided by the SCOTUS......so again i ask the tired question....Why at this point in time would we draw a line in the sand, quite possibly an illegal line, quite possibly a line that can physically harm or at the least  morally compromise the vaccine recipient ? And if these vaccines are for everyone's good, even if people are too stubborn or stupid to see that; then why not mandate that EVERYONE in public housing or receiving public assistance ( unemployment/welfare) get vaccinated ? why does this only apply to those employed by the city ?

Gov Murphy's chief of staff was caught on camera telling someone that the Gov was waiting until after the election to impose his own mandate....."ya know, because the independents and undecided are all about my rights and that shit"...........when reached for comment the Gov attacked the person who made the recording.....seriously.........if it were not true he could have squashed the entire discussion by declaring he would NOT impose a mandate.....the fact the he instead attacked the video as a trap tells anyone that cares what his intentions are.

Herschel Walker is running for Senate in Georgia. I was eyeballing his twitter account and boy did he receive some ugly, ugly responses. A lot of people are loosing their religion over his candidacy......in case you have not followed him, Herschel is a common sense conservative black man , born and raise in Georgia, he loves his country and is concerned with its current direction......fair enough right ? Great to see a vibrant, successful, middle aged black man taking an interest in his community and offering his opinions, vision and service to his home state.........oh........but he did support President Trump......and unfortunately not just as a voter....but as someone who has known Donald for 40 years....someone who worked for Donald.....someone who by his own admission baby sat for Donald's children when he played for the NJ Generals and Trump was the owner......and here's the killer.......someone who insisted that Donal Trump is NOT a racist.........well now, we can't have that...........mixed in with his twitter feedback was a lot of support from all folks, but mainly white America........it lead one fellow with the handle Denny Forrest @ Sweaternite to comment......"look at all these white racists supporting a black man, maybe it's the message and not the color of his skin"

on this miserable rain soaked tuesday, let's take a break from politics to talk some sports.....and my personal favorite punching bag....the little ten.

the big ten and the writers that cover the conference have it all figured out.......if we put as many of our teams in the top 25 as we possibly can, then whomever emerges from Conf play with have a nice resume of wins over ranked teams.....that's the only way you can explain it........the schoole themselves seemed to have figured out that strength of schedule means little or nothing, so there is no reason to schedule a tough non -conference opponent.......all power conferences play powder puff games, but the little ten seems to be shying away from any real non conference ranked teams.......and sadly when they did play someone with a pulse it didn't go so well.

Ohio State lost to Oregon at the Horseshoe  , Whisky lost to ND , Nebraska lost to Oklahoma, Purdue lost to ND, .......even the wins weren't against this years top teams....Penn St beat Auburn, Michigan State beat Miami, Iowa beat Iowa St  and Mighty Michigan beat an unranked Washington team , but at least it was someone from a power conf .

still...somehow ...this conf has 4 teams in the top 9......this week #6 Mich plays #8Mich State....and the winner will have an impressive victory over a top 10 opponent......Penn State.......lost to Iowa ( Iowa got crushed by Purdue)....Penn State lost fo friggin Illinois....in happy valley......and in 9 ot's.....PSU could not convert on 7 straight two point conversion attempts.......and this week when Ohio State beats them by 50 it will count as a win over a ranked opponent.....somehow PSU is still ranked #20.......who knows....maybe if they get enough style points they will leap frog Cincinnati and make their way into a playoff spot.......i am not a big ND guy.....but they don't shy away from a tough schedule....some years like this years, their opponents aren't having great seasons....but in fairness the schedule is made years in advance.......so far they have beaten power Conf Opponents USC, Whisky, Purdue, @ Va Tech,  @ Florida State, they still have to play 4 more in UNC, Virginia, Georgia Tech and Stanford...... their breathers come against Toledo and Navy ( not exactly Fordham and Villanova who Nebraska and PSU played ) and so far their lone loss was against the #2 Cincy Bearcats........good enough only for a #11 ranking .....i think every team on their schedule has been ranked in the top 25 at some point over the last 5 or 10 years

anyway i suppose i should just sit back and enjoy it while we still have it......Coach Huggins on the basketball side at WVU says it makes no sense that the power conferences continue to share revenue from the NCAA mens basketball tournament with the likes of Robert Morris (NEC) and any of the other smaller conference champions that qualify for the Tourney ( Never mind the fact that these schools continue to show on the court that they belong....ie Loyola)....it's all about revenue Huggins says......the power conferences should walk away from the NCAA mens tourney and hold their own tournament amongst themselves and sell the rights to CBS and keep ALL the Money.........translation ?  Fuck Cinderalla..........but at least he's honest, even if his opinion is unpopular.

jenn psaki mocked Peter Duecy fm Fox over his questioning of president biden visiting the border......turns out biden was driven across the border a few years ago....so take that America.....she also angrily asked "what would he do there anyway " ? ( i can think of a million things, maybe show support and pledge more assistance to the Americans serving as Border Patrol).....she argued that to go to the border now would be nothing More than a photo Op..........when reminded that the president said at his town hall that "maybe i should go" , she moved on to the next topic without comment......okay then.

this past Sauturday in the Redrock we got together for a Memorial Service to remember 2 regulars from the brannigan/Redrock crew......Dan Mccurdy and Michael Del Priore......very well attended event ....lots of great stories and ice cold beer.....it was nice to see so many old faces back in the stomping grounds in Redbank....Cheers

Mandates are working he whispered awkwardly into the camera...... cringe worthy tired act....vaccines are for your own good........fine....then why not mandate that anyone in public housing or receiving govt aid has to be vaccinated ? why only professions like Pilots, Police, Fire, and doctors and nurses ?  also known as white trump supporters......my advice to those people is keep your job, get the shot , and immediately hire a lawyer and plan to sue whomever mandated you to do so......in a few years the supreme court will rule mandates illegal and you should be entitled to a few sheckles.....

NYC is in freefall, that is not even up for debate.

Murders, shootings, stabbings and Rapes all on the rise.........big time Corporations are listening to the workforce, the delay in returning  to the office is more about crime than it is about covid,,,,i haven't spent a nickel in jersey city or hoboken since this all began , and pre pandemic i was good for $100 a week in the train station deli alone.

so why ? WHY ?? would you enact a vaccine mandate on ALL municipal workers at this time ( Cops, Fire, EMS, Sanitation ). no following of the science.....not even allowing a dialogue about natural immunity for those who have survived covid , everyone is the same, everyone has to get vaccinated by nov 1....that's what debozo is expected to announce today.  

lets not forget that debozo is cut from the same cloth as obama.......desperately wanting to change the fabric of this nation, obsessed with racism and wealth distribution.....well what better or faster way to do that than to fire hundreds or thousands of experienced WHITE males & females and replacing them with minorities........ sound far fetched ? did you know that the "Build a better Taliban" bill has $$ set aside for a $25,000 gift to first time home buyers ??  not every first time home buyer , just minorities ( according to Larry Kudlow and i don't dispute) whites need not apply. Did you know the federal farm bill has $$ earmarked with encouraging preservation of farmland ? not every farm, just minority owned farms......white America not only allowed this to happen, they actively participated and then went on facebook to celebrate the stolen election.
