Derby Rant 2010

I don't know if the DEVIL MAY CARE about my NOBLES PROMISE to drink the coldest beer on earth or how DISCREETLY MINE this AWESOME ACT may seem, but it certainly not a MISSION IMPAZIBLE to try to cross the LINE OF DAVID, and if i can succeed and become that SUPER SAVER than i shall RULE and become the STATELY VICTOR, no matter the CONVEYANCE of HOMEBOYKRIS. suddenly I made a noise and heard a meow out of DEANS KITTEN, but that was nothin compared to the roar of the AMERICAN LION, i gave em a little of SIDNEY"S CANDY and he went back to sleep....i must be in DUBLIN i hought to myself as i crossed paths with PADDY O'PRADO, but not to be deterred i made it around JACKSON BEND to the holy grail of an ICE BOX, sweet Jesus that's cold beer, so without further delay i give you my ENDORSEMENT....it has to be

LOOKIN AT LUCKY.

NHL Playoffs

this is a hockey blog remember ?

not sure how many were lucky enough to tune in yesterday afternoon, it wasn't easy what with the Mets, Yanks, NFL Draft all happening, but when the Cup is raised next month we may look back to what occurred in Chicago Stadium as the biggest turning point........trailing 4-3 late in the 3rd period the Hawks desperately needed an equalizing goal ......with 50 seconds left and the goalie pulled, Marion Hossa was whistled for a 5 minute Major for shoving a predator from behind, sending him crashing into the boards......the Hawks would now be shorthanded....game over....

not so fast, inexplicably the Preds instead of playing keep away with the puck in the Chicago zone, coughed it up....the Hawks raced into Nashville zone and re-pulled their goalie...30 seconds left.........they whipped it around the net out to the point, slid pass into the slot for a rifle shot...SAVE....the rebound was skipping away from the crease when PATRICK KANE pounced and redirected into the idle twine.....tie game...tie game.......13 seconds left......onto OT.

But alas the power play continues into the extra session, and so the Preds would have the man advantage for the first 4:10 of bonus hockey......Chi Stadium Greeted the Hawks to a standing ovation and roared their approval with every zone clearing of the extra session...the preds barely threatened, and whom else but Marion Hossa, fresh from the penalty box, would skate into Nash zone untouched and receive a giftwrapped pass on the doorstep......Rush and Division are still trembling from the eruption that ensued after Hossa scored....Hawks Win, Hawks win...

it was a game for the ages, and if Chief Blackhawk gets to carry Lord Stanley's Chalice , one should look no further than yesterday as the defining moment ...at least so far.

isn't it obvious

I would hope by now that everyone realizes that the KGB took down the Polish Airliner carrying the Polish President and his cohorts.....at a time when we are begging Putin to be our friend and help us with iran, we are giving away our nuclear advantage, the russian Bear is rising up ....now that they have regained control of Kryszigstan, how long and at what ransom will we be forced to pay to continue to use the airbase that is a vital supply line to the troops in Afghanistan? we are quickly becoming a shadow of our former self....i feel sorrow for the families of the man and women that have given their lives in defense of this nation the past 9 years...their sacrifice was unwarranted and under appreciated...we are a sad , sad, effin nation with little or no hope on the horizon, and as a final FU to those who volunteered to serve, the U.S.Navy is naming a ship after John Fukin Murtha , the low life pig that accused the Marines of cold blooded murder in the streets of Iraq.....we deserve our own annihilation, we really do.

tis the season

every year along about this time it all goes awry......what they failed to point out was that the Columbine massacre was timed to celebrate Adolph Hitlers Birthday.....stay off the streets Tuesday if you can, or at least try to avoid schools, i am sure we will here one or two more similar tales over the next 96 hours.

LI Teen Arrested For Making Columbine-Like Threat - 1010WINS.com : "MASSAPEQUA, NY (1010WINS) -- Police on Long Island say they have arrested a 17 year-old teen for making a Columbine-like threat to Plainedge High School in Massapequa.

Nathan Myres, of 217 N. Linden Street in Massapequa, was arrested Friday after threatening to conduct a Columbine-type shooting on April 20th.

Nassau County police were dispatched immediately after recieving the information about the former Plainedge High School student.

This threat comes days before the April 20th anniversary of the Columbine High School shootings in 1999 when a student open fired in a classroom killing 12 students and a teacher."

? ! ?

once in a while you can get shown the light, in the strangest of places if you look at it right.

The Tradition continues

A Great tradition was born last night in the Prudential Center in the gang patrolled streets of Newark, NJ. In what promises to be the first in a lifetimes worth of humiliating losses, young Pat Molloy ( Big brother to Elvis) attended his first Islander game......in light of the 7-1 outcome and the utter futility that is long island hockey for the past quarter century, one wonders if Big Pat should be brought up on child abuse charges for forcing his son to endure such punishment.....for the love of God, Let Elvis be a blushirter ! ! ! .........at least you didn't name poor lucky "Chico"

our BOY in office

President Obama, fresh off the announcement of agreement with Russia to reduce nuclear arms stockpiles, plans to unveil a nuclear weapons strategy Tuesday that will limit the United States' potential uses of such weapons -- even in self defense.

Obama, in an interview Monday with the New York Times, said he would make an exception for "outliers like Iran and North Korea" in revamping the United States' nuclear strategy.

With the new approach, Obama sees the United States leading by example in efforts to reduce the proliferation of nuclear weapons and eventually make them obsolete, the president told the Times, signaling a clear break with his predecessors on the issue.

Instead, threats could be dealt with by "a series of graded options," he said, combining old and new conventional weapons.

"I'm going to preserve all the tools that are necessary in order to make sure that the people are safe and secure," Obama told the Times.

Yep , that's our boy....lead by example...our enemies will be soooo impressed with our olive branches and handshakes that they will throw down the Koran and dance around the fire pit in a wild celebration of friendship, and we'll all have health care and the sun will always shine and the rivers will flow with cold beer and Auntie Em will be there and we'll live happily ever after.......alld dynasty's are destroyed from within, it's over for us.
