strangest Christmas Eve

1985...Diego Garcia....no comparison.....on a remote tropical island....first time in my life not being home on 76th street for Christmas.....Christmas season started out okay......we got a USO visit on or about December 15th....I worked nights at the airport....the dallas cowboy cheerleaders came in and we got yo drive them 3 miles downton to their rooms in the officers quarters...we had a few laughs..didn't feel like Christmas season tho........95 degrees and sunny.....half the island inhabitants caught flights back to the States for Christmas leave on or about December 21st....the place was a ghost town.....Mess Hall was empty......the "BAR" was half full and lifeless....no flights at the airport from the 22nd on, so we had no mail or work......we barbuqued on the Beach with bonfires on the 23rd....big party for all the unlucky ones who weren't approved for leave......on the 24th....the lone radio station on the island thought it would be funny to play "I'll be home for Christmas" for 24 straight hours......as many different versions as they could find.....over and over and over.....it was funny for about an hour.......turned depressing.....followed by anger and rage.......but we kept listening......I remember drinking Gin & Tonic like it was water , along with about 50 other guys and girls totally drownding their sorrows, as the Palm trees waved and warm ocean breezes flew.....we kept drinking, and Listening to that fucking song......over, and over and over....please have snow....shots, beers, more gin....and mistletoe.....at night came more bonfires....angrier ones......furniture and other items were tossed into the fires...and presents for the kids....as midnight approached , total despair set in.......we felt like total losers stuck on a deserted island as the rest of the world celebrated Christmas.....you can count on me......eventually passed out......woke up in the sand ......stumbled to the mess hall for coffee.....brutal hangover.......what's playing in the mess hall ? I'll be home for Christmas....IF ONLY IN MY DREAMS.

They smile to your face, but behind your back they hiss"........... and just like that our dear friends have turned on us like never before.... financial aid must cease and desist....no hard feelings....you voted to condem the United States for recognizing Jerusalem as the Capitol of Isreal.... certainly you don't want to accept a handout from someone you condemned.... notable names that Nikki Haley wrote down yesterday (full list of 135 available online) Afghanistan, bangaladesh, Barbados, Brazil, Costa Rica, south Korea, Finland, Norway, France, Greece, Italy, Ireland,Japan, Germany, Netherlands, , turkey, and MOTHER ENGLAND.......we need to especially punish our NATO allies that voted against us when the time is right.....any American that visits or financially supports these countries should reconsider.... interesting that both CANADA & MEXICO refused to condem us....I geuss even our left leaning neighbors would rather be on our side if a fight breaks out...... shame on all the coward's that continue to bow down and try to appease Islam.....it didn't work with the Nazis, they still bombed you to smithereens....it won't work against the sand Jiggs either...you'll see............... ..What’s a sweetheart like you doin’ in a dump like this? You've been away too long at Sea ........... interesting tidbit about UFO'S and the Pentagon spending 20 million to search for/ study them....a Navy pilot testified of an encounter with a " wingless tic-tac shaped aircraft" off the coast of California in 2004.....he said it mirrored his fighter jets movements....and then accelerated and dissapeared into thin air......now I drank a lot whilst in the employ of the United States Navy ; and hopefully that fine tradition continues, but I never saw any UFO'S or Martians.....at least none that I remember..... but clearly this is proof that the MARS men are out there.... hopefully they are reading the blog..... speaking of Dano and the Pope....Francis called"Fake news" a sin.....but he said that little Dog in NJ with the hockey Blog is hysterical....thanks Pontiff.... right back at ya..... speaking of Drinking to excess... So a fella in Brooklyn shot an 80 year old deli clerk to death because the man charged him $2 for a pint of beeeeeer that the shooter thought should only cost a buck fifty..... seriously people... what the fuck has gone wrong with this planet ? Has Satan taken over ? Is this the end of Days ?? Two dollars for a fuckin can of beer ? The shooter should have also shot the store owner, the beer distributor, the people in the apartment above the deli, and anyone else involved in this highway robbery..... enough is enough.

farewell to college joys

we sail at the break of day.....and so the biggest day of the year has finally arrived.......The United States Naval Academy and the U.S. Military Academy of West Point meet on the gridiron in the city of brotherly love for the 118th time.......Navy Leads the series 60-50-7.....but no matter what the scoreboard says at the end of the day , AMERICA wins.......for my betting friends ....I urge and implore you to load up on the NAVY....I have watched both teams.....pay no attention to records.....Navy has 5 losses......3 to top 20 teams ( UCF, @Memphis, @ND).......another on the road to a very tough Houston squad the morning after Thanksgiving, and one clunker on the road at Temple with a QB still suffering from a concussion ( and it showed, the offense was never in sync)........Navy has one glaring weakness......Pass Defense......Army has played entire games without even attempting a pass.....I fully expect a 17 point win today for the Calamari Squids......Anthony Gargulio ( the Pride of Colts Neck High School) will not be stopped..........the weather is the only monkey wrench.....Abbey has been careless with the football at times this year.....the only way Navy does not dominate is if they turn the ball over too many times........as most of my readers know we are having a fundraiser for the game today in PC's Pub in Bayridge......raising $$ for the PAWS OF WAR....a non profit group that rescues dogs from kill shelters and trains them to be service dogs for Veterans in need....stop by if you can.......and Gooooooooooo Navy !

FOREVER.......I know I have posted about this before, but on this anniversary of the murder of John Lennon, I can't help wondering what he would have written about the past 37 fuckin years....the highs and lows of his adopted New York City...all the craziness of the world.. .I didn't always agree with what he had to say, But I loved the way he said it......."Love is the answer.....and you know that.... for sure"

"his enemies say , he's on their land" let's be honest.....the Palestinians...if they really even exist.....do NOT want peace....they have been offered a homeland before, have been offered and given millions if not billions of dollars in aid....they don't care about their children , they do not want normal life and the pursuit of happiness....they are eerily similar to their African-American cousins.....they won't lift a finger to help themselves and yet still despise and revile anyone that does....they are more concerned or obsessed with the destruction of Isreal than they are with the formation of palastine....critics have warned that President Trumps' acknowledgement of Jerusalem as the Capital of isreal with hinder the peace process.....there is no peace process.....and there will never be peace because the arabs refuse to abandon their position that Isreal needs to be wiped off the map......its time for America to wash our hands and let nature take its course....not another ounce of energy on fake and fraudelent negotiations with animals.....move on.
