Flight of the Sea Bird

the congregation was 3 deep at the mahogany of Dorrians Red Hand on Washinton Blvd in the Pavonia-Newport section of Jersey city this day, arms flailing wildly to get the barkeeps attention and make a visual plead for more Guiness. The waving of flags of various nations partially obstricted our view of the televisions that were propped upon every outward facing wall and tuned to the news from Rome......"we have a new Pope, we have a new Pope" went up the cry and much ballyhood celebration did ensue....and fitting it was since the Brazillians had scored both the Olympic games and the World Cup that her South American rivals would be tossed a bone and the honor of our next Pope....Viva Argentina shouted nobody in particular, Diego Maradonna and the hand of God Goal....Gooooooaaaaallllll........a confusing day indeed.

Gravey Dog and Messier were pleased with the selection of Pope Francis and the statue by the Pond took on a special glow last night, or was that the aforementioned Guiness.........ah dios meo.....
