i'll never look into your eyes again (James Douglas Morrison)
amidst the anger, frustration and fury directed at our incompetent government, is the reminder that 13 service members lost their lives for nothing......i say nothing because although what they were doing was a brave and critical mission....it was a mission brought on by our own incompetence ....so unnecessary.
13 families changed forever.....all those extended family members....brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews....childhood friends....classmates...neighbors......somber holidays await....and for what ? again i say nothing.
on another day we will ponder motive on this site....why is the supposed leader of the free world cowering to a gang of murderous thugs......asking for their help...and so eager to tell the world it's not the Talibans' fault.....and dismissing the fact that the suicide bomber advanced through the talibans screening.
today i will try to put my anger and curiosity in check and try to focus on the 13 dead Americans. I was lucky enough to serve under Ronald Reagan and to a far lesser extent George Bush the Father ( Truth is i do not volunteer my services if Reagan wasn't the President)...i can't fathom how demoralizing it must be to serve under a feeble, senile, demented cocksucker that would risk my life so he can smile on the 20th anniversary of 9/11 and receive pats on the back from his fellow cowards.
I hope the families and friends of the deceased can come to some sort of acceptance and be able to live the life that the deceased volunteered to ensure and protect for them....it won't be easy.....loosing someone is difficult enough......loosing someone under these circumstances, in a shithole country, at the hands of these lowlife scumbags, is unbearable
desperately in need of some strangers hand,
in a desperate land.
