watchin the mookies jumpin and up and down and celebrating like they Hit the number after the police officer in Minnesota was convicted , couldn't help but remind me of the day that OJ was acquitted of slashing the throats of 2 white people.....celebrity privilige.
I was in the Killarney Rose for the midday verdict.......you would have thought it was new years eve the way certain aspects of the population were celebrating an escape from justice. As i walked back to the office at 44 wall, there was a shinebox doing a little jigg in the middle of the street......tickled pink that good ol OJ was scott free of murder.....he was high fiving stupid white people who also were celebrating for whatever reason....and i couldn't resist........i told him " i hate to break it to you pal, but when you wake up tomorrow look in the mirror.....you'll still be black" ........his whole spirit was crushed.....and i laughed.......i probably should have kept walkin and let this homeless creature enjoy 5 minutes of joy.....but right is right...and i had to remind him that his miserable little life was not going to change because of the OJ verdict.........and in present day ? as the verdict was being announced a sweet 16 yr old honor student in columbus was shot to death by a police officer in a driveway.....moments before she could stab her nemesis to death.........and around and around we go.
