if you drank enough on friday .....and I did ....you witnessed a fantastic clash of the original NHL titans .....The Broadway Blueshirts sitting on their perch atop the Patrick Division made a road trip to visit the number two team in the Norris the upstart Chicago Blackhawks........the Organ was humming and the balcony was boooing in Olde Chicago Stadium as Rod Gilbert and the boys hit the ice........Wayne Messmer welcomed all in attendance with a chill envoking version of the Star Spangled banner........Eddie Giacomin and Tony Esposito matched each other with kick saves and sprawling stops throughout the night....The Rangers thought they would walk away with a win in regulation until "Stash", the great Stan Mikita tied the game late in the third with a power play tally........on to overtime where Vic Hadfield sent them heading to the exits with a power play tip-in of his own......a grand night for the grand ol game, if only in my dreams.
Seater Nite 11 all set for Friday Feb 27 in the K of C 11209....
