Today's play of the day is twofold.....we have two good ones in the World of Derby preps......the Robert lewis and the Risen Star.
I like "Charlies Moment" in the Lewis and he should be on the board at a very nice price.....Pioneer of the Nile , a Bob Baffert entry , is the pick of this litter, but as Bullet Bob stated yesterday on trackside live "We've already earned entry to the derby , so we are using the Preps for just that.."Preps" ..." in other words he may not show all his cards today....but watchout come May 2nd.
In the Risen Start I see the semi-favorite "Giant Oak" chasing down the leaders on the long stretch of Fairlawn. Mr. Prado rides this Derby Hopeful today down in New Orleans.
still no official word out of Dubai about Juvie Champ "Midshipmen" , equine enthusiasts can only hope and pray that they decide partake in the KD.
