Connemara eyes Kentucky Derby - Sports - Modbee.com: "Connemara will try to earn his way into the Kentucky Derby in the $300,000 Lexington Stakes on Saturday at Keeneland.
The 3-year-old colt trained by Todd Pletcher will start from the No. 10 post in the 12-horse field. The Lexington is a final major prep for the May 1 Derby. Connemara will be ridden by Russell Baze.
Connemara won the El Camino Real Derby in February and finished third in the Lane's End Stakes at Turfway Park last month."
