how anti climatic was the end of lSU-Bama?.......a 4 qrt defensive struggle decided by a field goal because they started in field goal position.....boring.......either get ride of OT all-together or go back to sudden death, normal kickoff rules......this made for TV drama sucks.

Have to disagree with you, Tom. Alabama screwed up because of LSU's defense, their own stupidity (too many men in the huddle), and their OT play calling leading to the missed long field goal. And, at crunch time Bama couldn't stop LSU. LSU should have a had a TD, if the back hadn't stepped out of bounds. That was a good play call and LSU deserved to win. PS. I love DEFENSE.
Didn't Alambama's field goal kicker look scared - almost as if he knew he would miss?
And the kick - I've seen better high school attempts...
You're right! I could kick better than that...and what really suprises me is Alabama with their program didn't have a better kicker!
i agree that LSU deserved to win, i am just saying I would rather had them kickoff to Bama....force a 3 and out and a punt and then use that good field position to get into kicking range.....i have no problem with a tie during the regular season...or play one extra quarter of football "sudden death" and then call it a tie....imagine the interest in a nuetral site rematch if they played to a tie on saturday
