Tomorrow , on what we hope is a beautiful Sunday down the Jersey Shore , we gather .
Not soo much to raise money for a needy victim, , but to remember a man, and keep the spirit of the downfallen alive in society by helping others less fortunate. I never met Keith , but i DID MEET a plethora of guys just like him. Keith was 31 when he was murdered.....thirty fking one.

Tributes and Information Keith was the kind of of friend I would like my children to have. I will teach my children what Keith taught most people who knew him. I will teach them friendship, honesty and humor.

The Keith McHeffey Foundation was created to keep the spirit of Keith McHeffey and countless other local victims of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001 alive through a variety of charitable functions. Keith was a kind and giving person that will never be forgotten by his family or friends. Keith spent his life giving of himself to others. Now, we are giving back to the community in his good name. His life was a testament of "how to live".


The KDM 3 Mile Fun Run takes place the Sunday before St. Patrick's Day in Sea Bright, NJ. Since the first race in 2002, there have been approximately 700 participants each year. The NYPD Bag Pipe and Drum Band has honored the KDM Foundation each year by beginning the race with a bag pipe tribute.
