ah but it was a simpler TV that the great Alice Cooper was singing about.....the TV of the 70's was a good source of entertainment and distraction....not so much today .....some random media observations
*the news isn't really the news anymore.......i watch our local stations in the morning for shootings, house fires and the weather....only cbs 2 and fox 5 ( 2 because they are the least offensive and 5 because Bianca Peters is hotter than a 5 alarm burrito) ...but lately these liberal leaning outlets seem more content to report hollywood happenings than local shootings, stabbing or mid day rapes.......i wonder why that is ?.....i remember the dark days under President Trump where certain networks were counting the # of covid cases daily on screen.......how anytime a police officer sneezed in someone's general direction there was a full court press of coverage......not lately
*a funny trend is happening in the comments section of some of these media pages.......whenever a horrific crime is reported BUT the perp is not described or their name is not mentioned ( as polar opposite of Kyle Rittenhouse, he had his full white life on display and researched before he was acquitted).....if the actual criminal is left in the vague shadows.........nj.com is the worst......they will report on a horrible crime and then say the police apprehended a suspect described as a man wearing a brown jacket.....no mention of Race or his or her name ..people commenting will mimic Wheel of Fortune and ask Pat if they can buy a vowel ? or better yet.......jump right to it....."Pat, I would like to solve the puzzle"........just like when south park would run the clip of a newsperson reporting on a suicide bomber.........."and..........it's moslems"
Classic Fauci.......while answering Peter Doocy's questions about the travel ban he said "everybody entering the country will be tested for Covid"........Doocy asked again, "Everybody" ?.......pompous fauci replied "that's what i said...everybody"........Doocy corrected him and said , "No, you said everyone entering the country at the airport, but what about those entering by foot at our southern border ?........to which the ginny doctor waved his hand and said "oh, that's a different story"......really ?
