let's give Thanks

 on this day of Thanksgiving 2021, I remain grateful for all that i have and all the people  that i know. I share with you a Thanksgiving poem by Edgar Guest circa 1917,

Give me the end of the year an' its fun

When most of the plannin' an' toilin' is done;

Bring all the wanderers home to the nest,

Let me sit down with the ones I love best,

Hear the old voices still ringin' with song,

See the old faces unblemished by wrong,

See the old table with all of its chairs

An' I'll put soul in my Thanksgivin' prayers.

well said...and I'd like to recommend everyone visit Plymouth MA and see the Mayflower...it is an incredibly small boat, to think those brave pilgrims crossed that big, scary ocean crammed below deck...no idea what would await them in the new world...that is real bravery...a very inspiring place.

Of course, they thanked God, as they believed they survived because of divine intervention - and guardian angels.
