The Bus came by

 and i got on,

that's when it all began.

It was Cowboy Neal at the wheel

My phone was blowin up over the weekend........skaters from all over Brooklyn and the Jersey Shore were inquiring about the possibility of a Sweater Nite road trip to the swamps of Jersey. It seems the NHL has been spying on us and they went ahead and scheduled an Outdoor game between the Rangers-Islanders on the Sunday of Presidents day weekend......our traditional time slot. At Giants Stadium no less.....a Marquee game in NJ between two New York teams......classic....in fairness....most people think the devils moved to memphis 15 years ago.

Now there are many obstacles standing in the way of this diabolical plan coming to fruition. 

First..the evil NHL refused to announce start time for the game....that tells me it will of course be a Nite game.....and there is no way in hell i am going to an outdoor /nite game.

Second is the logistics and costs for buses and tickets....it tends to take some of the fun out of the day.

But most importantly was the chilling note i received from John Te' Jean Cadotte.

JC threatened a Sweater Nite Boycott that would make the Bud Light massacre look like a skate on the pond, or a walk in the park for you civilians. JC has always drawn the line and refused to sanction a move to the Garden State.....Just like Hari and Lev he thinks you need a passport to cross the VZ bridge.

The country may be on the brink of civil war , but the Sweater Nite extended family stands united.

Today of course is the Anniversary of D-Day......given the state of our country and the world that those men died to protect makes me sad to think about it....Thanks should be given from every corner of the earth....but it won't.
