Move over Tampa...the Carolina Hurricanes are the NEW Rangers of the south......felt like i was watching an intrasquad scrimmage last night down in Carolina.....5, count em 5 ...former Rangers are now donning their sweaters in the eye of a Hurricane.
Jesper Fast, Brady Skjei, Brendan Smith , Tony De'angelo and one of my old favorites Derek Stepan are all integral parts of this Storm Warning in Raleigh, and this team is a legit contender....they sit atop the Patrick division and with games in hand can arguably finish first in the Eastern Conference and possibly the Presidents trophy......the road to the Stanley Cup is going down tobacco road for sure....this onthe heels of former Rangers winning back to back cups in Tampa makes you wonder why we didn't have more success when they all wore blue........maybe , just maybe cause we had Mr Softee in net.....Euroscum....Queen Henrietta.......and now they will tarnish the rafter of olde MSG forever by retiring his number.......instead of raising his jersey they should raise the White Surrender flag.
